I just bought my first collective pitch helicopter. After the blades get up to speed do you have to switch the transmitter to mode 1, or does the throttle automatically become the pitch control?
Great video there CJ. I have a great little collective pitch heli's called WL Toys V977. This heli is perfect for inverted flying training. Collective Pitch helis are a blast to fly and fly totally different than fixed pitch. Full Throttle & Blue Sky's Brotha...TBT
That was like the perfect explanation I was looking for thank you so much for this vid just one more thing though I get how these single blade helix work but what about the ones with two blades
The fixed pitch heli is a Blade MSR. It's a lot better than the cheap mall copters you find at Fry's Electronics etc. It costs more but in the long run it's a better investment because you can get spare parts and it's just overall a better quality machine that's meant to last rather than just be thrown away when it breaks. The collective pitch helicopter shown here appears to be a clone of an Align Trex 450 SEV2. Helicopters like this are usually not sold ready to fly, you buy them as a kit either with electronics, or just as a bare airframe and are required to put it together install the electronics and set it up to fly. This is actually a "mini" helicopter by most hobbyist's reckoning. A 600 class which is about 4 feet long with 1200-1300mm rotor disk (600mm blades + the width of the hub) and typicly weighting 6-8lbs is considered a "normal" sized helicopter. And if you are wondering, yes a heli that size could seriously injure or kill you if you are careless with it.
hello there nice and clear vid... how can I adjust the pitch on my hell to the default settings....I replaced some broken parts with new ones and for some reason it won't lift now, any help would b appreciated. thanks
@@CJVideoProductions yah I thought about that, the more I've been digging the more I've come to realize it's probly the swash plate. And I can't find any videos on adjusting them on the toy grades, like sky rover.
Cyclic has way deep science involved than u conviniently described. Now add flybar to it & Physics gets way too complicated to comprehend.Y 45 degree flybar y not 90 degree. Just by changing flybar angles u can introduce or eliminate toiled bowl effect.
$40 for the air frame $25 - Used JustGoFly 500th Motor $20 - Exceed 40A ESC $15 - TowerPro 9g Servos $50 - used GY401 Gyro $50 - AR6110 Receiver $100 - used Spektrum DX6i Transmitter ____________________ $300 - ish
Nice video. I have the Avatar F-103 though mine is more of a stable helicopter whereas Yours is way more faster and i"meaning guessing is 6 Channels and mine is to though I want to know how to make it faster if you know how to.
It was about as right as it could be. It was an Chinese Trex clone - ultra budget machine. Cheap bearings and gears are noisy. I still have this same heli, but the only original part on it still is the canopy! Thanks for watching.
Great tutorial! I had no idea how some of the professionals were flying helicopters upside down. its pretty amazing.
Thanks to you now I know how collective pitch rc helis work. Thanks!
nice and clear from a normal person talking to you as if your a real person for once, nice video
Good information and vidio with no crappy music in the background
Looked up for a while, all craps, yours is the best for my incoming ASTB test.

Great job on EXI 450. I am setting one up right now. pretty neat heli.
7:12 increasing rpm was awesome😍👌
I'm very amazed by the architecture and technology of a helicopter. So does actual helicopter works the same way?

Cool and clear video!

Is a swash plate really needed? Is changing center of gravity wit respect to the lift force not enough?
you explained the basics understandably, thank you :)
Great video. Very informative

Excellent video, thanks.
@flowersvalley The big heli (the EXI 450) weighs about 850g with the battery. I'm running a Belt CP motor with a 10T pinion running about 2200rpm.
Sir ,can I use a simple 9g servo for Hiller 450 helicopter because digital servos and metal servos are too costly
Yes, I think I used all 9g servos on my EXI450. A 9g is a little weak on the tail, but it works.
Great information and video
Thanks for the information just what I was looking for.
Liking the dx6i and what is the big heli? Is it blade?
Very cool.
Cool vid, well explained!
what's that ticking sound when you start up the big helicopter
The blade msr is 99 dollars RTF at Hobby Lobby Int.
great video. why do u have a ball attached to the tail fin?
+sabarish venugopal So that when he lands the helicopter, the tail rotor does not sink into the grass, possible damaging the rotor.
nice video, very informative
i want to know model of this collective pitch helicopter
how do you fix the helicopters that don't like to pitch farward and fly straight? they only fly up and down or backwards.
You could add some nose weight to make it pitch forward and thus fly forward.

@RiceManCA yes, check out the blade CP is about $180 I think
Cool
Stuff man
Can my E-Flite 2.4 ghz radio be blinded to a E-Esky Lama 4 Helicopter ?
This really helped!
what is model of this big helicopter
mine just spin around in the air, and cant move forward?. need help with the controller.
Hi I like the little one too if I need how I can get please reply I will wait.
hi. how much did the big one cost? great vid!
need to buy one
Very interesting. Thanks! :)
Plz plzplz plz help my helicopters top rotaitor doesn't work is it doesn't fly only the bottom Wong spins plz plz plz help
how rpm is that helicopter spinning
Thank you
@shebotnov where can i get one for a 100 bucks?
what are the RPM Or the specifications of these motors
because of swash plate why heli moves forward and backwards?
It moves the blades
So . . . Fixed pitch helis are just CP helis but the swash cant move. That sucks.
Swash can still tilt to make the heli tilt, but can't move up and down to change blade pitch.
can anyone tell me the name of the fixed pitch heli?
my R/C not working only wings rotate what to do ????
स्टोर का नाम और यह कितने की है
thanks for the info

It is a t-rex 450 clone from Xheli
Thank you so much

What is it servo ?
Tail and pitch
I don't remember. They we're budget ones. A few dollars each.

Mcloving!!!!!
Can i get a collective pitch for about $240
super
You need to look at that bird, she is making a noise that shouldn't be there. Something is out of whack, or not lined up right.
It was about as right as it could be. It was an Chinese Trex clone - ultra budget machine. Cheap bearings and gears are noisy. I still have this same heli, but the only original part on it still is the canopy! Thanks for watching.
If she is still flying, that's always good. I liked the video, and you explained a lot.
Helicopter controler system
@flowersvalley EDIT: in this video I was running a JustGoFly 500th motor with a 13T pinion running about 3000rpm
hi
What are you? A professor! Well I am
Plz can u give me a small heli plz
