    History correction: please look up the history of the long bow. Also Roman infantry tactics. They didn’t use the long bow. And they didn’t heavily rely on archers either.

      May have been inaccurate (I also don't recall Romans using long bows as we know them as), but it's still genius storytelling - makes me want to be a Roman Gladiator on the tennis court (see what I did there?)

    The racquet comes back with the upper trunk rotation of the shoulders which incorporates even a larger muscle group! This is more productive & contemporary than bringing the racquet back with the arm IMHO!

    Been teaching and playing with this analogy but I’m very glad you put it on line. Try it on the backhand too. It allows for a full turn and early prep. Pull then throw.

      Exactly how I play and teach too. You’re really on track coach! Didn’t learn this from PTR or USTA, etc. It just evolved.
