Thanks for confirming my purchase of the F75 DST SE 2017 -- Two small things you mentioned as cons -- I have a solution -- Take the phone cord and run it under the Bat. compartment, loop or double loop a rubber band around the Bat. compartment, trapping the cord under the arm cup. I find that causes the spiral phone cord to stay out of the way and if you loop, wrap, the rubber band right it will come up against the on/off/volume control and hold it in place. Works for me. Good video and comments and observation. Thanks Dan

I’ve got the F75 SE LTD also... If you didn’t know the boost mode and cache mode transfers over to all metal mode and enhances its performance. It’s says so in the users manual and I asked Kelly Co. You don’t need to swing slow in boost mode using all metal mode but you do need to sweep slow using cache mode and when you’re using that setting while in all metal mode. Just set discrimination mode side first then switch over to all metal mode and it almost doubles all metal mode performance. Other settings like default or fast mode or jewelry doesn’t transfer over to enhance all metal mode. This information is on page 22 and 23 of the users manual. As you start to read each discrimination mode. You’ll noticed boost process cache locating process at the bottom of the paragraph says... when the boost mode is selected the response characteristics of the all metal mode are also modified (meaning boosted or enhanced) these characters include less noise and slow response speed. Because now its searching ultra deep and so it responds a little slow. You don’t need to sweep slow in boost mode but you do when you use cache mode. Regardless if you are using them on discrimination side and/or on all metal mode. If you select one of these options and go back to all metal mode they are enhanced if you use any other setting like default or bottlecap or jewelry then it goes back to lower performance or default.
Also if you haven’t upgraded to larger 15” inch fisher coil you should. I purchased the larger 15” inch fisher coil for my F75 LTD SE and I can hit quarters over 20” inches deep! Man hole cover or 55 gallon drum jumps from 2 meters on or 6 feet on stock 11” inch coil... However the larger 15” inch fisher coil will hit same amount of metal over three meters or 10 feet deep! So if you haven’t then you should upgrade the coil.

This video just taught me so much. I really really appreciate your effort. Thank you. I should know my detector, but I just learned a lot. I've had my F75 SE for about 2 years. Detecting in South-Africa is hard... from nothing to find but trash all the way to HARD soil. Where pickaxe sparks to dig a few inches (and thats just compact soil - without stones or rocks. But I still love it.

This was a really great review of the two detectors. I was wondering why people use such small Hockey Pucks. I guess that was a noob statement, ha ha.
Next spring we plan to buys some equipment far better than we have now. Thanks for sharing the ins and outs of your detectors. I am shopping around at the moment, trying to find the best detector out there for coins and jewelry, old farm houses and schools..

Hi Rye, We just ran across your channel. We were using the E-Trac and we privileged enough to be sent 2 F75 Sig LTD additions. Moving from the E-Trac to the Fisher has been a hurdle to say the least. We found the Fisher to be very chatty at first but we are slowly learning our way around the detector and loving it more and more. Your video was very informative. Thanks for putting it together and sharing it with everyone. We just subbed and we added this one to our favorites. Great Job. GL HH to the RR Crew.

I'm been hunting 3 years with ATP and needed something to sweep up what I was missing. I just bought the F75 LTD with a Sun Ray FX-1. Went to a park that's been hit pretty good and the F75 hit a 1918 wheatie 7" down and I was just playing around with it for the first time. Now I'm pretty excited. Question: What over the ear head phones would you recommend?
P.S. Thank you so much for the starter video. Best one on RUclips.

+Relic Rescue Crew The prospecting environment here includes many highly alter gossans. In addition to the high iron content, drill bit chips and cuttings abound near the gold bearing quartz veins. Initially I believed a PI machine would rule. With precious little experience in detecting I'm still skeptical of my choice, but for now, it looks like a the F75 fits the bill.

I have a Fisher F75 myself and I love it, I'm amazed at how deep this machine will go. I can't truly say its better than some of the other brands because I haven't used alot of the others. I have a Garrett 2500 and its a good machine but I would pick the F75 over it any day. I also have a Fisher 1270X and I think its a great machine and I still used it. A Fisher is just hard to beat. Also nice video man!

Believe it or not, but the F75 and CZ-3D are the only two that will pick up a very very small bronze coin over here in Japan, It will reach down 2-3 inches to get it, while the AT pro and CTX will not go off until you touch the coil. Not sure why"

I have dug holes 1 meter deep with my F75LE !!! with standard coil in DE. It rings like pure silver .... perfect. But once I get past 8"inches and not finding anything I know what it is. It's usually a huge iron or steel item. I recently dug out a old Boer War relic winch drum 1 meter deep plus it finds the smallest little items without even tweaking it. I just wish I understood it better. Still learning.

I am thinking of buying a f 75 but there seems to be a lot of different ones out there , now thats its 2019,, I saw 2 of them that says on a information web site that the f75 + and f75 ltd were both the same detector but different prices. also theres another one selling at a detecting store here in bc. canada that says it a advance visual audio f75 detector for around 637.00 dollars, and from the write up about it,it sounds a lot like it might be the f75 + but without the package deal for 849. If it turns out to be the same as the f75+ then i would buy that 637.00 dollar detector.

Great review, some of the Canadian coins are made out of iron, is there a way of telling the good iron from the bad iron when your useing the discrimination setting . Could it be done by looking at the numbers readouts on the screen display & writing them down on a paper ,then i think we could find the good iron coins by doing that .Do you think that would work?

Good question Frank. With Canadian coins I find that they normally give off a good high tone when they are in the ground, it's once the plug is pulled up and the coil gets closer to the target they tend to start giving an iron signal. I've done a few tests using Canadian coins and it seems the iron tones where not consistently the same and hard to tell if it was modern quarter vs a rusty nail. The same denomination coins all gave off a different VDI. Hope this helps you out.

    What is the maximum depth?

Survival Bushcraft98 The depth varies on the targets. I have dug cannonballs over 2 1/2 feet Coins over a foot and small buttons and other small items about 11 inches. It's a deep hitter. I like to bring it to other site hit by other machine's that are "dead" due to being hit very hard. The F75 sniffs out the deep signals all the other machines miss. It's also very good at seeing through iron trash.
