Bad technique. they had to dismantle the glass insulators first. They did damage and pollution to avoid expenses.then they get angry if someone still calls them "underdeveloped"
A lot easier than you think. I’ve taken steel t posts out of the ground. These would be nowhere near as deep. Most would just crumple after going in an inch or two.
It's so sad. The big metal robots died and fell over. RIP in pieces robot friends, we are truely sorry for your lots. Video is better when played backwards.
I'd never given pylon removal any thought until some of the videos appeared in the recommended list, I probably would have assumed they were blown up. Simply toppling them over using a winch and cable and cutting them up, who knew! I suppose it proves that the simple way is best! Great video. 👍👍👍👍
I felt sorry for the second dropped tower, the double circuit USBR Type TH 230-kV tower. A tower style I recall from the Missouri Basin Project in 1953. I would have loved to have owned it. Disassemble and then re-erect it on my property. Very sad.
Oh, they're scary. I once found a video where one is sentient and managed to escape from its spot, the person managed to record the whole thing before getting stomped by it.

Ok
@@patsematary it’s porcelain
I used to stare at them while on car rides lol always found them cool as a kid.
Lol same. I’m 33 now and still think that
Same here. I actually have a few faves
Until now, I still find them cool
I do too and still to this day even stare at telephone poles
Same, I still stare at them, especially when I was on the train
Back when pylons were still allowed to drink.
Rob Fraser nice one
Good comments
Ok I'll admit u made me chuckle
🤣
Whoever put this compilation together really knew how to pylon the misery.
Underrated comment lol

Oh no
My cat saw this and did a pylon the carpet.
Yep
You'd expect an explosion on impacting the ground
nah
I thought I would activate a atomic bomb but nothing happened
Toa Sully there isnt any wires attached to thems
There not on connect to wires
They don't have any lines on them, they were cut away previously
These are really anti-climatic.
Why tho
Watching them fall is about as exciting as watching them stand 😂😂
Caen bien suavecito
@@jackh.3052 you'd expect them to bounce a little, as large objects typically do when they fall (if they don't break)
Yes
1:03 Everybody gangsta 'til the pylon starts singing while trying to escape

they do but only the ones with the x's

Obvious thing is obvious
No, they just stab the ground and they stab it well.
Good luck getting the side ‘arm’ pieces out of the ground!

you must Reconstruct additional pylons
when u used to think pylons were eiffle towers... good times
Me: expecting armageddon noise.
Pylon: makes a sound of a supermarket cart.
0:14 somehow I expected it to be more loud :D It was a letdown.

Felt sad for all of the porcelain and glass insulators that died with the pylons :(

0:34 this place is so beautiful! Looks like Virginia tbh
Between Cannich and Struy in Scotland. The old line was replaced a huge 400kv circuit.

@Zephyx what?
@Zephyx no need to be rude
That's unessarary 🙄
That Powerline falling right by that weird shape could have been a nightmare 😂

pyrophobia133 what’s that mean
God these things take forever to fall over!!! The anxiety kills me!!

So the consensus is they go “thunk”...congrats on making this fine filllm.
Texas Feb 2021: Aww, shyte. We still needed those! 😳
Power station: great now I need to make more plyons for homes
Smooth fall 👍
Not clickbait. Respect!
That first one positively STUCK the landing!! (Third one, too)
Why do I find this funny
You wouldn't expect it, but they SPLAT. Like a person falling on their face.
what is the 3rd video of falling pylon?
When you look at the pylons standing, they look so big and high until they fall down lol
Nice job
It's weird seeing these come down considering we need more power delivery and it seems like a herculean effort to put power lines up.
Any chance of a sequel with new footage? My 3 year old boy is obsessed with 'falling pylons' nothing else cuts it.
Diy dude
@@starsnipe-yp5hx I made a playlist instead, "Falling Pylons etc!", check it out :-)

My favorites were the ones on grassy fields that just fall over and stick into the ground

Was it called "tower of power"?
I'm definitely calling UK power networks
This is crazy, earlier today I was talking about what it would be like if one of these fell, and what do you know, this pops up in my recommended!
It seems that as part of its design is falling very slowly
It's Monty Pylons flying circus..
Pity about the Skylon tho
The Langoliers are coming!

Everyone: what are you afraid of?
Me:
Is it weird all of this pylon look smaller when hit the ground?
Anyone else see the meme potential in these clips?
There was no potential. They de-energized the lines before they started work.
When pylons have done a hard day's work and just need to sleep for a bit
I was hoping they would still have energized wires.
Can someone please explain why one of the videos has a soundtrack by Creed?
no
Because it was obviously taken from another compilation that had Creed playing over it...
