Oh, this will be interesting. Just started playing again, went with ranger, lvl 55, went to bitterblack, rotunda of dread, firedrake, frostwyrm, thunderwywern. Managed to beat em all, lost only one pawn. The best part? NOT A SINGLE ONE OF MY WEAPONS GOT DRAGONFORGED!!!! P.S Done on hard mode
I once had basically every piece of equipment upgraded at level 1, except for dragon's ire at level 3 because I wanted it to get dragonforged more than anythibg else. Fought dark bishop, everything got dragonforged EXCEPT FOR DRAGON'S IRE

One time I gave Rook throwblast and he actually survived BBI with me up until the Bloodless Stockade. My favorite pawn set up though is the shield only fighter with 2x bloody knuckles. Very hard to kill and deals crazy damage.
God I hope Rook is our introductory pawn in DD2, but after his arisen has logged in, and gotten all the items and knowledge from all the people hiring him from DD1
In Dragons Dogma 2, Rook needs to return to get his Redemption. But this time, when you summon him you can level him to Max, outfit him accordingly and give him either Makro command or set a competent AI. And being the only Pawn ever who can be multi classed as an easter egg...
Tbh I’m excited for you to see how much your channel grows if and when the MMO comes back (assuming it’s available in the US) and for DD2. Can’t wait for either of those
old boi Rook is so underappreciated for being our first pawn... I legit carried him for almost 5 lvls before I realized he did not level up with me the first time. LOL nevertheless, he has my respect.
If Dragon's Dogma 2 expands the weapons of classes, I hope that us spear loving fighters and warriors get spears and halberts and the option to replace the shield with a crossbow or throwing weapons with warriors getting a mini cannon or portable ballista. Mages get the ability to have more options when using spell books or replace pawns with level based summons that can fit any roll. Striders and rangers having the ability to pack status curing items to not have any weight due to packing it in some kind of interdimensional pocket or have the ability to make enchanted arrows when going for a solo run. Also having a kind of Jack of all trades class that can wield any weapon but has a Banner base weapon in order to summon their own mini army to help fight along side their personal pawn. Even bring in some fantasy races that weren't able to get added into the first game due to time constraints.

Just dusted off Dark Arisen tonight on 360. I have a fresh copy of Elden Ring and honestly game play on Dark Arisen is a lot more fun. It's ok to have fun!

My first time playing this I was like... 11. I had this ridiculous attachment to Rook for being my first pawn and was UNWILLING to get rid of him. I kept him around well into my lvl 40s and despite the fact he was dying like it was an Olympic sport, I loved him. I treasured him. Until I took him into some cave and he ended up getting eaten by the Brine. I literally cried bc I was so upset. Distraught. Destitute. I tried to find him again but my stupid dumba** little small fetus brain couldn’t make sense of the pawn system and I figured he was gone forever. It was one of the biggest tragedies of my life. Oh, Rook... ever faithful, ever foolish. Nowadays I fling him off a cliff at the nearest opportunity.

where they at least upgraded once? iirc they have to be at least one star to be eligible for dragonforging
