    Buy an HP10B and the problem won't resurface. I have this exact calculator for a back up calculator and it is the biggest POS I have ever spent money on.
    Thank you SteveM45, that was the solution. I put a note inside describing that trick, for the next person in case the calculator shows its ass again.

    Hi at all. I found the solution for reset. In the middle of the board under the big black part there are two capacitor, C2 and C1. I made a shortcut over C1 and now the calculator works again.🎉

    Hey mate, thanks for the video. Question though, how long did your original batteries last and at what use frequency of use?

      Not sure, years ... at the pace this calculator was used ...
