I played this when it came out, I was a little boy and I fell in love with this game. (It took me like a month and half to beat it and then I found out about the alternate endings and did all of those as well.) Now I'm a grown man watching Jerika beat it in 4 hours. It's awesome and makes me sad, we didn't have all these speed running strats. But anyways, the music for this game is absolute gold. The story is gold. Everything about this game is gold! Tbh, this game is also pushing me to go back to school for a new degree. (Vid game dev)
In gdq it became the accepted name of bort. This was so funny because of the simpsons joke with the Bort name souvenirs and plates. Ever since then I have never called the main characters name by his actual name. It will forever be Bort to me.
So the speed run tactic dealing with Lucca's past is to just go straight back into the portal and let her mom get her legs crushed? ... Too bad there wasn't an incentive to save her mom...
Is that really how you pronounce "chrono"? I've said it with a hard "o" in both positions all my life. As such i am not willing to change now, but I may have to look up pronunciation online anyway. Chr-O-no not Chr-aw-no i refuse.
the truth is that there are multiple ways to pronounce it depending on your dialect of english. for 'chrono' by itself, you'll either hear it with both Os pronounced /oʊ/ (rhyming with boat) or only the second O pronounced that way while the first is pronounced /ɒ/ (rhyming with hot). it's possible hear both Os pronounced in the latter way, but only when 'chrono-' is being affixed (e.g. chronology)

there's definitely still cause for playing it casually. Speedrunning it is just an extra challenge hehe :)

The WR for NG+ is 5 minutes on PC hehe. But it's max level max stats, max gear. And you go to lavos immediately hehe
