      Hi em, you need to add a little bit of the hot agar liquid to the eggs and then add the eggs to the rest of the hot liquid. If you add the eggs all at once to the hot mixture, it will scramble the eggs. Watch the video again at 1:34 as I show how to do this. Good Luck em!

    Is it ok to use real coffee instead of instant coffee? If it is, how strong the coffee should be?

      Yes, you can use Knox gelatin as a substitute for agar agar.

    Help please! I followed your step by step but my coffee jello isn't setting even after 10 minutes. 😢😭

      Hi Yen, it sounds like the agar agar isn't fully cooked and so the gelling properties aren't activated. When this happens, you can boil the mixture again and allow it to set.

      I did let it boil longer on my second tried but it still not completely set either.

      Try adding more agar when you reboil. I added more and it helped. The agar I used said to use a whole packet for 6 cups so idk maybe it needed more

    Thanks for the great recipe. Do you think it's safe to eat this during pregnancy as It's advised to not eat raw or uncooked eggs while pregnant?

      +Ha Ho Hi em, the eggs are partially cooked. However, I don't recommend eating this during pregnancy. Perhaps, check out my flan recipe which is equally yummy. Take care!

    agar agar is gelatin

      It’s a vegetarian gelatin substitute. It can harden at room temperatures and stays firm even when the temperature heats up. It sets more firmly than gelatin
