    Great vid.
What few know is when Pienaar was interviewed on the field and was asked to thank the 70,000 crowd for their support, he instead thanked the 50 million South Africans, this did a lot to prevent a full civil war that was very close at the time.

Madela telling pienaar about the poem 'incictus' was the evident that made him realised that if they won the great tournament,it will go on a long process in unifying the different ethnicities of the country, pienaar push his team to the limits n together with support received from home crowd the south African National rugby team (springbok) won the 1995 rugby World Cup despite being a mediocre team who was not even expectted to go beyond quarter finals against the triumphant new Zealand team n the favourites.

South Africa have won the Rugby World Cup every Year of the Boar: 1995, 2007, and 2019.
I’m glad the Haka was part of the highlights.

Yeah dude, I was 13 and remember it like it was yesterday. Soooo gutting. Yet SA just couldn't be denied that day. It wasn't just a game this, this is South African history right there and I do not wish the result had been different - though i'm a kiwi.

I'll never forget this! Watched on TV in the bedroom with my 2 kids & Yorkie dog. The Haka didn't intimidate our Bokke one bit! Nail biting suspense! Us hoarse from yelling! My son's bed pillow popped, stuffing flying all over the place! Me peeking through my fingers at the end. My kids leaping on & off the beds, dog's tail wagging like mad. I fell in love with Joel Stransky. James Small didn't even flinch, he took on Jona Lomu no problem! Chester Williams ran like the wind! Joost van der Westhuizen & Capt Francois Pienaar. Our Madiba in his No. 6 jersey, we all loved him Nelson Mandela. Final whistle we/SA won! My BP was through the roof! My heart raced! Cars honking for hours! So proud of our Bokke & our Madiba. Sadly, they are gone now - Madiba, James Small, Chester Williams & Joost van der Westhuizen - & Jona Lomu too - they are missed but will never be forgotten. Thank you, Springboks & All Blacks, for the most exciting sports game I have ever watched! xx
