This is the match that brought a whole country together my goodness it’s historic
Take tips America
Yet the players are whites 🤣
Chester Williams was in that side

It's funny & shameful when it comes to colony 🤣
Who else is here getting amped for Saturday? Boks and Kiwis in the final again...finally! Good luck to both sides...but go Bokke!
I'm so nervous😂
It was a romantic win
They way they're singing shosholoza cohesively... brought tears in my eyes, so amazing. What a South Africa we would be having today if it wasn't for those greedy politicians 😥
💯
especcially the singinging right after the break betwwen the two exra time halfs.. stuff of legends. very powerful i can image how the songs affected the all blacks players
Mandela will be in tears in heaven seeing what South Africa has become under black administration
The whites gifted the blacks a world beating country that the blacks have ruined and enfeebled. "The great black shame"
You poisoned us
Greedy and racist dont give Afrikaaners a chance in business or jobs. 😢
Still gives me goosebumps to this day!! The golden age of South African history- Mandela and Pienaar lifting the trophy! And to this day a nail-biting game even when you know the result!! 🇿🇦

RIP Joost van der Westhuizen, Chester Williams and Jonah Lomu. x
James Small
John three true warriors you mentioned there RIP
Ruben Kruger..
I love the way the forwards set the scrums in less than 30 seconds, not the 4 1/2 minute fiasco it’s become to day.
It was a lot more dangerous for the forwards' columns though. It was more spectacular indeed, but it wasn't worth it
@@ilnerdmiope you truly are a geek...
@@ilnerdmiope Just started playing rugby and I have to fully agree. This looks metal though
Crazy how much the game has changed watching this
'And then we have 65'000 South Africans here today...tremendous support.' Pienaar: that wouldn't be 65,000 South Africans...we have 43 million South Africans...' A true captain in every sense of the word. WHAT A MAN!!

And James Small and Joost vd Westhuysen and Reuben Kruger. All participants of that game. Sad really. Quite amazing that 4 Springboks in the starting 15 have died since.

Watching in 2022. I was barely a year old when this went on. Glad to finally get to catch the game. 2019 was intense! This is bound to be just as intense!
Words cannot describe how big this game was in SA. The country was a hotbed of aggression, violence and despair but this world cup turned that around (short lived) dramatically and everyone was behind the single cause. Never felt anything like it. The other world cups we've won are great but this one has extra buzz. I'm so stoked and jealous people get to watch this for the first time.
@@daggaboom selfde ou boet! As an American now, we moved long ago; I’ve been wanting to see this match for some time. That drop kick… IMMACULATE!

This is premiering on my birthday... even though I wasn't there it's still marked as the most important day to me emotionally. Nice birthday gift. I always look back at this, living by the love, unity and care shown on that day.
For he is a jolly good fellow, that nobody can deny!!!!
The most thriving and emotional sport event I've seen i my life, still give me goosebumps.
Remember this day so well. I’m not a big fan of rugby but I celebrated along with 40 mill proud South Africans. It’s sad that 4 of the players who started have now passed on.
You know you love your country when despite the insurmountable challenges we face this brings you to tears. Really hope we can forge a great nation in the future
2021 and watching the Morgan freeman movie invictus so I thought I would get on RUclips and search up the 1995 world rugby Cup final. Probably one of the best world Cup final
Just got done renting it.
I always thought that last scene in Invictus, when Damon's Pienaar makes that correction about '43 million South Africans supporting' them was a dramatization ... until I saw this footage. What captains these are, Mandela of a country like your Rainbow Nation, and Pienaar of a South African squad that had been banned from rugby for years prior to this glorious return. These are examples for us all, for the ages.
Francois Pienaar
At last I can watch it live. Hopefully including the magic end with the great captain receiving the Webb Ellis-Cup and the interview where he shamed the interviewer. This game changed so much for this country and its battered majority population. I already know that I will have tears coming down after these two mentioned scenes.
Me too...❤ I always welcome the tears and deservedly so.
What has it changed?
Yho! The atmosphere here is amazing!

Bullshit. Politically the boks had to win. Thats why the Sll Blacks were poisoned.

And so it did
I was 12 years old, but i will never forget this game, one of my best childhood memory. Respect to Jonah lomu the best and one of the best of all time. But we had François pienaar a man with heart and humbleness and courage that made a team play like true springboks.
Brings a tear to my eye watching this. I remember it so well. This was the possibility of the rainbow nation. We all rejoiced. Black, white, on this day, colour made no difference. We were all South African. Imagine the possibilities of how things could have been. Then the haters took over.
This is best rugby world cup match in history. The best against the best. I was still a young boy by that time but I'm a proud SA supporter. Mr. Nelson Mandela made this possible. To see our boys late Chester Williams one of the best wings in the world by that time. I watch this match over and over because it makes me cry everytime because this world cup had brought our nation together. God bless SA proud of the boys.
What is the real condition of South Africa now in 2021?
@@Balboa_Rocky It's was fucked the day Nelson Mandela died. It's completely fucked now in 2023. Infrastructure is falling apart, No water, No Electricity, South Africa has the highest unemployment rate in the world after its rate increased to 32.9% in the first three months of 2023, after another 179 000 people lost their jobs. The ANC government are the biggest thieves and have all stolen billions of rands, Taxman is raping everyone, crime is one of the worst in the world and white people, well white men cannot get jobs - So reverse apartheid in a sense. Also, our petrol and food prices have become so expensive, we can hardly afford to survive on our salaries that never increase... So yeah, that's how it is now... It is what it is! But i am still South African and love my country and the diversity and cultures. It's just this corrupt government, they have raped this country, sown discord amongst the different cultures and races, unlike Mandela who was trying to bring us together.
I thought I had recovered, this clip has just given me brand new heart pulpitations 😅
The South African team played for Madiba and for the country here 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Well done guys, WHAT A DEMONSTRATION OF WILL ! Even Jonah Lomu said you guys played like possessed men ☺
