Three years from not knowing anything to open source and moderating forums... at the age of 15?! wow.

Those were the days! Some kids where playing Dota and Starcraft, others were having fun with PowerPoint.

You could also program some maps for Warcraft! It had a nice editor to have fun with (triggers and scripts)

I got started basically the exact same way! Only difference is that for me it was playing around with animation in Macromedia Flash, where I eventually discovered programming through its ActionScript feature

@@habibthephantom7040 I went to university and took a degree in Computer Engineering. So that's the only advice I have: Go to university.
It gave me a broad understanding of computers and software development in general, gave me proper credentials to put on my CV, and has allowed me to work within multiple fields.

It is speculated that Dan may have left because he was not allowed to write code anymore. The next stop is probably Vercel, and React should not suffer any setbacks. However, it is possible that in the future, React may serve more towards company strategy. The original team, including Jordan Walke, Sebastian Markbage, and Dan Abramov, has almost all left. Even though the official response states that they are still involved in React, there might be a possibility of divergent paths in the future.
In summary, Dan's departure may intensify the changes in the "frontend framework" market landscape. Combined with the rise of newcomers like Svelte and Solid, the frontend framework field is expected to become even more diverse.
Lastly, let's wish Dan the best of luck. Also, it's worth mentioning that Dan is still quite a good-looking person.

I really have admiration for Dan because of the empathy he continuously displays in his communication.
I dont know of anyone in dev community who puts in so much effort into his communication as Dan does.

The same story! I used to experiment in PowerPoint by making quizes, and other types of interactive slides. Now I'm using React 😅

Learning in the early 2000 was hard for IT, as a coder. Learning now, is completely another story...
