Also can the USGA make every US open on a public course? I think the point of “I’ve played there” is so damn cool

I enjoy this podcast. Provides something different than the other golf podcasts with the in-depth course analyses and previous US Opens discussions.

TSN in Canada is the best. Coverage all day long. No changing channels, no paywalls. Love it

re: Tech - I feel like the beginning of the end was huge drivers. A ton of the 'technology' issues could be sorted with a max driver head size. Make it a max of 175cc or so and that single change would go a long way in the right direction.

Watching Live From this morning, you can REALLY see the grain on 18th green. Adds to the complexity, which is good.

I have to think they're setting it up difficulty-wise like they did the Women's Open. It'll be a bloodbath.

One thing about the setup, I think the USGA will err on the side of too easy for the first time around as an anchor site. Id rather it be a bloodbath too but I think the USGA is going to be too timid to set that precedent when theyve already got 4 more of these scheduled here

Why do I keep hearing people say Daly walked off here? Am I missing something? Didn’t he just pull the Phil at shinnecock, 15 years before Phil did it?
