What year is yours mate?. Maybe Kawasaki changed the guy in charge of the headlight design and the new one had a little more OCD :) Or do you think you may have had a conversion done already?
@@NooBiker ah mine is 2015 so you are maybe right. Also you have a limited edition as well right I' remember you mentioning to a fireman in one video that it was only blue for a year.
The 2017 model onwards comes with BI headlights. My mate just bought a 2017 model and he has both on as well. I think it's just the older models that have a single. Although my wife's 2018 Ninja 650 only has one headlight on at a time as well. Not sure if they changed into a Bi headlight system in later models on the ninja 650 as well.
just got a -16 z1000sx and this video and the other in the series is perfect. Meticulous work, tnx!
Thank you Freppster.
The video's are a bit long but there is a summary video and if you get stuck with anything feel free to give me a shout.
7:55 that “white stuf” on the rubber is a protectant
Hmmm both headlights come on on my Z1000SX!!! Still, very informative video, I'll probably refer to it in future

@@pinnacle_moto mine's a 2019 model on 2018 plates. Pretty sure all recent ones have both lights on.

@@pinnacle_moto my Ninja 650 also only had one headlight on for dipped beam.
does it affect the MOT changing the lights to LED's from halogen?
No, Mine has breezed through the MOT without any issues.
