Eventually your going to start keeping a rare or odd car here and there!!

I'm surprised you don't open a small car dealership because you're really good at this and you have a pretty decent following now so I think it would help you get a lot of customers, you could just specialized in old cars with a few blemishes and I definitely feel people will come from all over to buy cars from you so it's definitely something you think about because you can work on of them and just show videos and tell people you're hiring in a video and you'll have tons of applications🕺

Great job getting to those back spark plugs , I might've had to remove that front dog bone motor mount to get to them .
And yes those transmissions are pretty soft for those type of engines so every 20,000 sounds about right .
I would enjoy the car for a bit then send it down the road .

Keep the Taurus SHO V8 and Impala SS. You have two V8 FWD American family cars from two main competitors at the same time. They just have a 7-8 year age difference.😊 Black and Silver do match...😂😂😂 As always, great videos and keep 'em coming!
OAN: Randy, if you keep the Impala, do you plan on doing the DOD delete? Would be an awesome Santa's Workshop collab...👀😂

I had the engine out of mine recently and boy im glad i did the Spark Plugs, Wires, Valve Cover Gaskets, EGR gasket, Exhaust Manifold Gaskets, Coolant Crossover Gasket, Blend Door Actuators, Oil pan, Transmission Filter and Gasket, Water Pump, Idler Pulley I think. The list goes on and on i feel like it glad i did it all I originally tore into it to replace all the power steering lines, one runs underneath the engine. Then I had a busted Catalytic Converter I needed to get welded back together.
She purrs now apart from the Rack which i didn't realize needed replacing (this is this cars second steering rack already) It might need another welding job on my catalytic converter flange. Originally the Flange broke free from the Catalytic Converter, so I had no way of bolting it back up to the car. As time goes on i think i notice more and more of an exhaust leak.

It has 150k miles on it so far and I haven't had any issues out of it outside of replacing gas pedal, throttle body, alternator, evap purge valve, radiator and cooling fan... They both was a pain in the ass to replace! I also turned off cylinder deactivation so it will run on all 8 cylinders at all times

I built an LS4 and 4T65 and swapped it in my 95 Cutlass..
. if you undo the dog bone mount and then jack the engine forward.. I use a rachet strap, but a jack works also... it makes getting to those rear plugs so much easier... gives an extra few inches for that rear driver side plug... hook the rachet strap to the dog bone mount on the engine and pull it foward.. it'll pull the engine forward farther on the driver side.. ..
The engines are great and last a long time..... the transmissions are junk.. you gotta have them built.. shift kit, bypass the stock transcooler into an aftermarket cooler... "Triple Edge performance" builds these transmissions or you can just get the rebuild kit...

You think that's bad, try to take a 1996 Maxima's off. The front valve cover gasket was easy, but the rear valve cover gasket was a pain to get off. Why? I had to take the planum off to get to the rear. However, I've done it.😊 That Impala SS is running great

You should defiantly keep this car because these things are rare to find being this maintained.

I just got an 08 with 92k on it I heard the transmission is made out of glass mine feels good anything I should do to make sure it lasts or should I get rid of it lmao

@@jaxbishop4335 unfortunately with GM the 4T65e 4 speed auto is the same transmission the Grand Prixs (GT, GTP, GXP, Lacrosse) have and they are dog shit, I went spent around 2k on a rebuilt transmission just to be safe and a trans cooler to keep them temps under 200’F. Cause why GM make a FWD V8 idk, it’s a great winter car for daily driving but if you want reliability better get rid of it. If you do decide to keep it, I recommend you doing a DOD delete for (Active Fuel Management) cause the car like active the cars into 4 cylinder to “save gas” take that shit off, trans cooler, and take care of it but eventually you’re gonna want more power and something more reliable in my honest opinion but you got steal 92k on the body and it’s not beat up.

My opinion you stole this impala. Spark plugs and valve cover gaskets looked kinda easy. Hope you use it for a little bit. I’m torn not sure what you should do.

GM has come a long way with Transverse mounted V8's. The 1985 Cadillac Deville/Fleetwoods were the worlds first with the little HT4100 v8 with 140 hp, then came the 300 hp Northstar System in 1993.

I love mine I have one just like it. I just have a hard time finding a good mechanic to change the spark plugs. I use it ever day. Gas wise is bad but like I said I love my car. I’ve had it for 15 years already.
