Great tracks on this track list. all of the songs are very good.
Great tracks onto this cd very good
This one, 46, 52, 63, 81, 89 and 90 are the best Nows I rate a 7/10. There's no way that the early 2000s are bad at all like the late 2010s in any kind of way 👌
But 2020 was even worse than all these other years we've cherished (1960s-2019; which I recall were neither reviled)
thank god your now 49 tracklist is here.
My personal opinion on the album it’s the best one of 2001 and beats Now 48. Most of the songs on there are pure summer tunes. Good times it was all about 😃
Totally agree this album is better than 48 and possibly is the best NOW of 2001 yes though 50 is pretty much equally as good in my opinion 🙂
@@robertatkinson1347 and the best HITS of 2001 was HITS 50.
@@robertatkinson1347 Drops Of Jupiter by Train should’ve been on this album!
@@charliejeffery4525 yeah I agree, seeing as all other big hits by Train have been on the NOW albums. It's not on a HITS album either, and it's therefore one of those songs that have never featured on either numbered compilation.
Hooray, it's finally here, Rob! Hey, what held you back 2 days after finishing this video from uploading it?
So many great throwbacks here, love S Club 7's "Don't Stop Movin'." Also love Janet Jackson's "All for You."
Have a great Christmas, Rob, and I can't wait for your Now! 48 vid in 2016!
+P0CK3TB00K Basically the last couple of nights I haven't got in till late, hence too late to upload the video, as I only really go on RUclips in the evenings, rarely during the daytime.
Just like Now 50, loads of great songs on this one, the two you just mentioned are good as well as many others :)
You have a great Christmas too P0CK3TB00K I will try and get started on Now 48 as soon as I can and who knows, I may just be able to get it up before we are into 2016. :)
Angel by Shaggy should have been on there because it was released in June 2001 and spent 3 weeks at #1!
Yes I totally agree I have always said this myself especially going by the fact that his previous single 'It Wasn't Me' was on Now 48.
@@robertatkinson1347 summer 2001 was all about good memories, especially Pepsi Chart, T4 Popworld, Top Of The Pops and CD:UK!
What else should have been on this CD as that was #1 in early July 2001 was Lady Marmalade by Christina Aguleira, lil Kim and Pink.
Other songs I think should have been on:
Usher - U Remind Me
Crazy Town - Butterfly
Travis - Sing (was on Now 50)
NSync - Pop
Faithless - We Come 1
O-Town - Liquid Dreams
Ash - Burn Baby Burn
Wheatus - A Little Respect (was on Now 50)
Papa Roach - Between Angels and Insects
Musique vs U2 - New Year's Day
BBMak - Still On Your Side
Faith Hill - There You'll Be
Missy Elliott - Get Ur Freak On
D12 - Purple Hills (was on Now 50)
Jennifer Lopez - Play
Brandy & Ray J - Another Day In Paradise
Manic Street Preachers - Ocean Spray
Feeder - Seven Days in the Sun
OPM - Heaven Is a Halfpipe (was on Now 50)
Snoop Dogg - Snoop Dogg
Craig David - Rendezvous
Madonna - What It Feels Like For a Girl
Bon Jovi - One Wild Night
REM - Imitation of Life
Fatboy Slim - Star 69
Good cd
Give Me A Heart Robert Atkinson
Hi rob me again, is it just me or is the 'Have A Nice Day' by Stereophonics cover really similar to Now 72's artwork? It's like the single cover inspired NOW to do what they did with 72! Same colours for the flowers and everything
Wow yes sorry about the extremely late reply and gosh you are right I never really noticed before they are so similar 😲
0:58 Backstreet Boys “More Than That”
I think both versions of Eternal Flame are on par with the one on here (Atomic Kitten) being slightly better maybe than The Bangles version on Hits 10 though I can handle your opinion if you slightly prefer The Bangles version. 2001 is also marginally better than 1989 for music too 👌
I agree, though 1989 is still certainly better than 1990 & 1991 as well, as HITS 10 is really good and NOW 14 is great too. Plus there's some good stuff from that year that never appeared on NOWS 14/15/16 & HITS 10/Monster Hits, for example 'We Didn't Start the Fire' by Billy Joel, 'Personal Jesus' by Depeche Mode and 'Another Day in Paradise' by Phil Collins.
@@robertatkinson1347 I have to agree with you there 👍
Now 49
Best Summer Now from the 40s, with 43 not too far behind, with 40 and 46 not too far behind 43 either
Difficult to decide really between this one and 43 as they are both great, and are definitely the better two summer NOWS of the 40s.
@@robertatkinson1347 yeah, definitely, my order of the Summer Nows of the 40s would go 49, 43, 40 and 46. 49 is decent, with 43 being good, whereas 40 and 46 are pretty decent. I also find this album on par with the following Summer Now 52, which is the best Summer Now of the 50s
@@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66n my opinion as well the summer NOWS have the best S Club 7 songs on, as 'Bring it All Back', 'Reach' and 'Don't Stop Movin'' on this one are all really good, 'You' on NOW 52 isn't bad though not as good as those 3 whereas 'Say Goodbye' on NOW 55 is pretty weak, that being said though I think 'Natural' on NOW 47 is probably the weakest one on a NOW.
@@robertatkinson1347 I probably have to agree with you there, S Club Party, Never Had A Dream Come True and Alive are all really good too.
@@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 agreed was gonna say both 'Never Had a Dream Come True' and 'S Club Party' are really good too with 'Alive' also being pretty good and 'Your My Number One' on NOW 45 isn't too bad either.
The only NOW album to have an F-Bomb. Blink-182.
I only like All The Small Things by Blink 182 tho
Shame First Date didn’t make Now 50.
Real Sugar by Roxette Should Have Been On Now 49!
If you get your Now 48 Tracklist done next year can you get it up next year before the leap day (before Feb 29)?
Yeah course don't worry Ben it will be way before then I may even be able to get it up before we are into the new year
All Star By Smash Mouth From Shrek Should Have Been On Now 49!
That song was released in 1999.
@@charliejeffery4525 Oh
I think Pop ya Collar- Usher should of been on either this album or Now 48 since it hit No.2 in the charts in February 2001!
It's on 'Music the definitive Hits Collection Volume 1' which again is an album of the HITS series.
It would of probably been more suited on Now 48 tbh.
However this album is the 2nd best of 2001 in my opinion and has the best artwork in comparison to Now 48 and Now 50, which are pretty much the same thing
@@v.7382 agreed, 50 is the best NOW of 2001 with 48 being the weakest in my opinion.
I declare this album to be an improvement over 48. 50 is also the best Now of 2001 and I would say this is my second favourite Now of 2001. 48 on the other hand was the weakest. Also, 2001 was better than 2000 too.
Agreed, it's difficult to choose between this one and 50 but maybe 50 just edges it. Definitely both better then 48 though yes.
@@robertatkinson1347 48 was weak too.
@@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 yeah it's not the best.

@@charliejeffery4525 nice, always found it strange that 'Angel' was never on this, seeing as 'It Wasn't Me' was on NOW 48 🤔
Hey, Rob, while I'm waiting on your Now! 48 vid, I thought I'd leave a comment to talk a little about the Now! series' most recent numbered release--Now! 92 (which by the way, you haven't written an Amazon review for yet. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/pdp/profile/A1WSAA2SHIF8QM/ref=cm_cr_dp_pdp)
One thing I've noticed about the series is that they often have songs on their albums that don't reach their peak or aren't released until after the tracklist is released. Now! 92 had 7 of them:
Years & Years - Eyes Shut
Grace ft. G-Eazy - You Don't Own Me
AURORA - Half the World Away
Format:B - Chunky
WSTRN - In2
KSI ft. JME - Keep Up
Wretch 32 ft. Anne-Marie and PRGRSHN - Alright With Me
Since they aren't released yet or haven't peaked yet, there is ambiguity as to how well they will do. Of the 7 tracks listed, I only had 2 on my final Now! 92 predictions--Eyes Shut, which was slowly climbing up the charts ever since its release (I love Years & Years, and since King and Shine did very well, getting on Now! 90 and Now! 91 respectively, I had high hopes for this song doing well also), and ultimately peaked at #21 after the tracklist's release, and Half the World Away, which I put as "The John Lewis 2015 Advertisement Song" on my predictions since I didn't know what the song would be. It peaked at #11.
I try to be careful as to which songs I include since if a song doesn't do that well, I generally don't put it on, or if it's released after the album's release, I have doubts as to how well it will do.
Sometimes, in the case of In2 and You Don't Own Me, both of which peaked at #4, a song they put on that is released or peaks after the tracklist reveal does well. Or, in the case of Chunky and Keep Up which only got to #29 and #45 respectively, it doesn't do well. Or, in the case of Alright With Me, it doesn't chart at all! I can't even remember the last time a song which didn't chart got onto a Now! album! Do you, Rob? I was surprised Alright With Me didn't do well--Wretch 32's previous song "6 Words" peaked at #8 and ended up on Now! 90, so why didn't his new song do well?
Well, Rob, I hope you had a merry Christmas and got lots of amazing gifts! Can't wait for your Now! 48 vid!
-P0CK3TB00K
+P0CK3TB00K Yes you are correct Now 92 does have quite a handful of songs that were released and peaked after the release date like the ones you just mentioned however the disappointing fact is that I don';t think they made the most of making the album having 46 songs for me out of the tracks you just mentioned only 2 out of 7 made the top 10 (You Don't Own Me and In2) whilst Years and Years & Years 'Eyes Shut' failed to match the success of 'King' and 'Shine' peaking at a rather disappointing #21 despite climbing after the album had been released. AURORA's 'Half the World Away' didn't do too badly peaking at #11 (only just missing the top 10) and the other 3 'Chunky' 'Keep Up' and 'Alright with Me' are just pure floppers that shouldn't have been included. 'Alright with Me' surprisingly didn't even chart at all, despite in my opinion it is the best out of the 3 of them :O makes you ponder the absense of Adele's 'Hello' and Fleur Easts' 'Sax' - we could have easily had those 2 songs replace the 3 I just mentioned as they really should have been on the album for me but both tracks will more than likely show up on Now 93 in the spring.
So yeah although Now 92 did a reasonably good job of including a good handful of decent songs, unfortunately only 2 of them were successful but I think the biggest disappointment of all was Years and Years 'Eyes Shut'. Really expecting it to at least make the top 20. I did kinda have that feeling it might flop a little as it was quite low down the tracklisting on CD 1 whereas 'King' on Now 90 and 'Shine' on Now 91 were both a fair bit higher up the tracklisting to those albums.
My review isn't on Amazon yet as I simply haven't got round to posting it, when I find the right time i'll post it. My Now 48 video shall probably come sooner as I am already halfway through making it so I'd imagine you won't have to wait too much longer for that one :)
Robert Atkinson Glad to hear, Rob! Can't wait for your Now! 48 vid!
Also, the disappointment of having 7 songs on Now! 92 peaking/being released after the tracklist release is even more disappointing when you consider Now! 91, which had 5 songs on it peaking/being released after its tracklist release:
Little Mix - Black Magic
Aston Merrygold - Get Stupid
John Newman - Come and Get it
Avicii - Waiting for Love
Sam Feldt ft. Kimberly Anne - Show Me Love
And, of those 5 songs, 4 were Top 10 hits! (Black Magic hit #1, Come and Get it #5, Waiting for Love #6, and Show Me Love #4). Only Get Stupid failed to break the Top 10 peaking at a lowly #28.
Compare that to 7 songs peaking/being released after the tracklist release of Now! 92 of which only 2 were Top 10 hits, one just failing to break it at #11, 2 more which peaked at #20-#30, one which failed to hit the Top 40, and one that didn't even chart at all, and it really shows how pathetic those choices were. You make a good point, Rob. Adele's "Hello" and Fleur East's "Sax" would have been fine replacements for "Chunky" or "Keep Up." Drake's "Hotline Bling" could've also had a spot on the album, perhaps replacing "Alright With Me."
Well, anyway, it's still a good album, hopefully Now! 93 will be better.
Yeah I forgot to mention Drake's 'Hotline Bling'. I knew there was another song I forgot to mention somewhere and 'Hotline Bling' was it. It's gonna be really interesting to see what Justin Bieber song gets picked for Now 93 out of 'Sorry' or 'Love Yourself' (both of course reached No. 1 in the charts) the same goes for One Direction and it's between 'History' and 'Perfect'. One song I hope does make Now 93 is 'Adventure of a Lifetime' by Coldplay such a chill song, I just hope it doesn't have that issue like they did with Now 87 where their song 'Magic' couldn't make it on there due to some reason or other but strangely enough 'A Sky Full of Stars' made it onto Now 88.
Robert Atkinson A possible reason "Magic" wasn't on Now! 87 is because Coldplay has been a little picky with how they want their music distributed. Their album _Ghost Stories_ wasn't put on Spotify till a few months after its release, and the album "Adventure of a Lifetime" is on--_A Head Full of Dreams_--wasn't put on Spotify immediately either. I have hopes for it on Now! 93 though. Adele's "Hello" might be another iffy track for Now! 93 as Adele has also been quite picky with her music distributing. Her album _25_ isn't on Spotify, similar to Taylor Swift, whom, ever since pulling her music from the service, hasn't been on a Now! album. I sure hope it gets on Now! 93 as the song has broken records and has become an international hit, but "Hello" is a sort of iffy track for Now! 93. Think twice when coming up with your predictions, Rob.
I think both "Sorry" and "Love Yourself" will be on Now! 93, similar to how both Kygo's "Firestone" and "Stole the Show" were on Now! 91, but I'm still undecided on One Direction's "Perfect" and "History." When I've got a full batch of predictions, I'll show you, Rob.
Have a good night.
-P0CK3TB00K
How did you do that?
Do Now 48 Next?
Yes I will do
+Robert Atkinson (Bashterix) Yup, then Now 47 after Now 48
Ben Smith is
Ms. Jackson is better than Hey Ya!
Yeah I think I agree, 'Hey Ya!' is still pretty good though👌
The early 2000s are definitely weaker than the late 1990s, late 2000s, early 2010s and early 2020s though certainly better than the early 1990s and possibly better than the late 2010s, as the worst two of the 2010s, 2017 and 2018 are weak, with 2000, 2001 and 2002 not being too bad though still the worst of the 2000s. 2019 isn't bad either and is on par with 2000-2002, if not better. 2015 and 2016 are the best of the late 2010s, with 2003 and 2004 now being my favorites of the early 2000s
I would have the early 2000s over 2019 any day.
@@robertatkinson1347 yeah that's true, as the tracklists of the Nows of 2019 were kinda ruined by the throwback tracks from the 1984 Nows, as it rather wastes up space though I'm not surprised, as we both much prefer 1984 over 2019 and although 2019 was still a very good year for Nows, it still wasn't outstanding and I still most definitely prefer 1984 for Now album wise overall. In fact, I also think that 2019 is still a weaker year for Nows than 2010-2016, other than musicwise.
@@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 certainly is, 102 has some good stuff on there whereas I find 103 & 104 pretty garbage.
@@robertatkinson1347 yeah 104 is the last Now we find garbage though I find 106 average, whereas you find 107 average. 103 is still very good, but 102 is the best of 2019. 102 is also on par with 86 and 94, if not slightly weaker and 103 is also on par with 85 and 93, if not slightly weaker, which means that 2019 is on par with 2013 and 2016 for Nows though again, still weaker. 84 is average, but certainly better than 104 with no doubt 👌
@@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 also as well the one thing the years 1999, 2000, 2001 & 2002 all have in common when it comes to NOWS is the spring NOW from those years is the weakest one, and the winter one is the best one, though I will admit I think 46 is only slightly ahead of 45, 52 is only slightly ahead of 51, 50 slightly ahead of 49 and 44 slightly ahead of 43.
Hmm...I'd almost forgotten what a rubbish album it was...it's just gathering dust at the back of my CD cabinet now.
Gosh really? I'd say this is one of the better ones, quite a few good songs on here :)
+Robert Atkinson (Bashterix) It just seems there are too many ballads on disc 1 and too much steady R&B on disc 2
Radiohead is one of my least favorite indie/rock bands.
Yeah I agree I'm not a massive fan of them either, none of their songs really have any real guts to them, 'Creep' on NOW 26 is probably their best song, but it's still not that good really 😕
@@robertatkinson1347 yeah I agree 👌 I also find Destiny to be the worst song on here too and it's definitely a song that shouldn't have been on here either as it only peaked at #30 in the charts
@@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 wow, never realised it charted that low! I've also just realised that they're the same guys who did 'In the Waiting Line' which is on HITS 51, and that song charted even lower at #47, that being said though I think 'In the Waiting Line' is probably the better of the two songs 👌
@@robertatkinson1347 I have to agree there 👍
I also agree with Charlie Jeffrey that Train: Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me) should've been on here, seeing as it didn't ecen make an appearance on a Hits album anyway. It's a good song too though I think Train's other songs, Hey Soul Sister (Now 76), Drive By (Now 82) and Play That Song (Now 96) are all better though Hey Soul Sister is the lowest charting song on Now 76, peaking at #18 but charted higher than Play That Song which charted around the top 40 👌
