Alcazar rejected being on both Hits 2000 and New Hits 2000
They do however appear on HITS 51 and HITS 52 though 🙂
Hits 2000 and New Hits 2000 were rejected by Alcazar
The only thing i could say is the fact the The Spice Girls always remain supreme by a million billion trizillion over Ice Spice❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🩷💗🥰😍🤩🥳🎉
Although I'm not even an Addsion Rae fan at all and would consider her to be overrated, I would still prefer her over Billie Eilish and Ice Spice any day of the week, month and year. I especially just can't stand Ice Spice at all, her music is just too samey for my likings and is my least favorite pop queen with Billie Eilish second 👌
As someone who likes Lily Allen and Adele, I much prefer Marina and Duffy more any day 👌
@sddk2k8themusicalfanatic66 yeah thoigh I do certainly prefer Lily Allen over Adele most definitely, my rankings best to worst of the four artists would have to go Marina and the Diamonds, Lily Allen, Duffy, Adele. As you know I'm not a fan of Adele's music at all as I find it dull and she's also very overrated also, Marina on the other hand however I find rather underrated 😊
@@robertatkinson1347 I totally agree with you there 👍 Marina is the "IT GIRL!" 😍😎
@sddk2k8themusicalfanatic66 of course as well you've named two English musicians there and two Welsh, as Adele and Lily Allen are English with Marina and Duffy being Welsh 🙂
@@robertatkinson1347 indeed 👍😀
Why do these albums start with George Michael sometimes?
@Ryan-xl1lr yeah the NOW team seem to like starting these Yearbooks off with George Michael and Queen as well also.
I recently did a ranking of best to worst summer albums in the 2010's and am thinking of doing so for the 90's albums, but as we only had 2 albums in 90 and 91, should we consider 18 and 20 as summer or winter albums?
@@BadgerWhisper definitely winter, with them both being released in the month of November.
After you have done the remaining albums (NEW HITS 2000, FRESH HITS VOL. 1 & 2, HUGE HITS 2000 & HITS 2001), will you do the tracklist to HIT40UK?
@brandongill2577 not sure what that is tbh!
@@robertatkinson1347 HIT 40 UK. Compilation probably released in Spring 2004? Based on the Channel 4 chart.
@brandongill2577 ah ok not familiar with that one at all, I shall look it up on discogs 🙂
Funny how 4/5 of UK's Eurovision entries made it onto Now! between 1995 and 1999 - and the only one that didn't was the winner
@morbidsearch that wouldn't have been 'Love Shine a Light' by Katrina and the Waves by any chance would it? 🤔
Somewhere Only We Know came out in 2004? Always thought it was released only a couple of years before the Lily Allen cover?
@morbidsearch yep it was indeed 2004, as it's the debut single taken from Keane's debut album 'Hopes and Fears'.
An absolute wholesome video that never disappoints at all just like always once again Rob 😁 1999 is a national treasure for music and here's my rankings on my favorite to least favorite years of music as of October 2024 btw if you're interested: 100% 😍: 2010, 2008, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2011, 2014, 1996, 1995, 1988, 1986, 1984 95% 🥰: 1977, 1979, 1982, 1983, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2005 90% 😎: 2024, 2023, 1999, 1997 85% 😁: 2022, 2021, 1993, 1992, 1978, 1976 80% 😀: 1980, 1981, 1987, 2004, 2003 75% 😊: 1974, 1975, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1998 70% 🙂: 2020, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1973, 1972 65% 😏: 1985, 1989, 1971, 1970, 2019, 2018 60% 😐: 2017 Fingers crossed 2025 is on par with 2024 & 2023 if not slightly better 🤞
@@sddk2k8themusicalfanatic66 absolutely yes, love those rankings too, I would definitely say as well that 1999 is only bettered by 1995 and 1996 in terms of the 90s music wise too, with 1997 a smidge behind perhaps 👌
@@robertatkinson1347 I agree 👍 and thanks for complimenting my rankings on the best to worst years of music too 😁😀👌
@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 no worries 👍
@@robertatkinson1347 it'll be also interesting to see what your opinion on Now 119 will be too as I think it's my favorite 2020s volume alongside 115 & 113 combined followed by 109, 110 & 117 then 111, 114 & 118 then 107 & 106 for me but I also like 116, 112 and 105 including 108 too 🤩😍🥰😇😊😁 I would definitely believe that your rankings on all those Nows would be: 115 (100%), 113 (95%), 106 (90%), 117, 110 (85%), 118, 111, 109, 114 (80%), 116, 112, 105, 108 (70%), 107 (45%) 👌😀🙂
@sddk2k8themusicalfanatic66 yep, that's pretty spot on and I think 119 will be a good one too possibly better than 117 and probably the 3rd best one from 110-119 overall after 115 and 113. I think 2024 will end up copying the trend of 2004 where the winter one is the best, then the spring one with the summer one last. 118 is still pretty decent though and 58 isn't terrible either 👌

These track lists are a blast from the past. Love the 80's track list in it's chronological order of both Now and Hits albums. Any plans to do same with the 90's compilations?
@gtogtogto ah yes of course a 1990s compilation album playlist you are referring to, and yes I could do the same for the 90s albums as I did actually consider doing so and I could also do the same for the 2000's as well 🙂
@@robertatkinson1347 I'm sure they'll go down well. Keep up the good work. <3 Retro

#1s: Flying Without Wings, Keep On Movin', Mi Chico Latino, Blue (Da Ba Dee), When You Say Nothing At All and Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!
Good Tracklist!
As of now, I'm not so sure if KSI's new song will make the cut for the Now 120 tracklist when the album itself releases in April 2025 after the song hasn't been on the tracklist of Now 119 which will release on November Friday 15th 2024 since I've heard it's a diss track. This is why I didn't predict Ice Spice's song for the Now 119 tracklist other than the fact the song doesn't appear on the album's tracklist 👌
@@sddk2k8themusicalfanatic66 I had Not Like Us in my NOW 118 predictions and it didn’t appear most likely because it’s a diss track. I wish Not Like Us did appear on NOW 118 but unfortunately it didn’t.
@@sddk2k8themusicalfanatic66 btw I don’t think Thick Of It is a diss track just some people think it is.

I can’t believe what happened to Liam Payne R.I.P
@scarrdlungz9749 yeah shocking isn't it? 😞
I would probably go as far to say that Kelly Clarkson is my favorite pop queen if I had to pick whereas the likes of Robin Thicke are overrated 👌😍🥰🤩
There are great tracks on this Now Album, this was released when I was 15, Now 00's time does fly
@christophersmalley7805 ah you must be slightly ahead of me then, as I was 12 when this came out. Thanks for commenting 🙂
As a big Diana Ross fan, I prefer Aretha Franklin slightly more if anything but both are terrificly awesome 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍
Will you do videos for the tracklists of NOW The Vault from 1983 and 1984?
@@paulojrneto funny you should ask that, as I really did consider it!
Great video Rob! 🙂 My main 5 favourites are: Touched By The Hand Of God Rat In Mi Kitchen So Emotional Funkytown Tunnel Of Love My least favourite is 'Let The Happiness In'
@joew9790 thanks as ever Joe, nice to see your song opinions as always and the NOW team seem to like David Sylvian appearing on these Yearbooks, even if some of the songs they pick don't chart well at all, just like the one on this album!
@@robertatkinson1347 Yeah I can tell the Now team have artists they like putting on often like Suzanne Vega, Nick Heyward for example
Although Now 119 is yet to be released exactly 4 weeks later from today (November Friday 15 2024), I think it's fair to say it's the best Now album of the 2020s and on par with Now 115 and 113. My rankings on the 2020s Now albums (All the Now albums from 110-119, including Nows 105-109) have to be: 100% 😍: Now 119, 115, 113, 109, 110, 117 90% 😎: Now 111, 114, 118 85% 😁: Now 107, 106 75% 😊: Now 116, 112, 105 70% 🙂: Now 108 Personally I like all the 2020s Now albums and love most of them though I always will handle your opinion if you dislike Now 107 👌
Be happy knowing that Star Trekkin' by the Firm is not included here
@brandongill2577 yeah but you never know, it may rock up on the '85-'89 Final Chapter once it's released 😉
So I saw the NOW 119 track list yesterday and I think they could’ve put 1 more song on both discs and i wasn’t expecting Linkin Park to finally appear on a NOW album
@scarrdlungz9749 yeah my thoughts exactly, I too was shocked by just 44 tracks and the surprise Linkin Park appearance, plus they missed off some big songs again to name a few.. Gigi Perez - Sailor Song Charli XCX/Billie Eillish - Guess Charli XCX - Apple Tate McRae - It's Ok, I'm Ok Shaboozey - A Bar Song (Tipsy)
@@robertatkinson1347yeah like I was disappointed that they didn’t include Kendrick Lamar - Not Like Us on this one but I see why they didn’t cause it’s a diss track and either their saving KSI feat Trippie Redd - Thick Of It for 120 or it has too much criticism to be on a NOW album.
I don't think this is getting a re release 😢
@Ryan-xl1lr doesn't look like it at the moment which is most odd, and the price of this album will probably skyrocket too as it will be very much in demand.
I always liked the big hits edition, the time they were released filled the wait between nows too
What about Now 119?
@SheaThomasKelly next month that will be up once the album itself has been released.
@@robertatkinson1347 Have you seen the cover yet?
@@SheaThomasKelly yep, as well as the tracklisting.
Now 119 Is revealed Another strong Tracklisting But it only has 44 Songs Couldve been A Few more like with this One and Now 116 Last Year
And Same Goes With missing Sings like Shaboozey - A Bar Sing (Tispy)
@@top5trending599 yep I saw that too.
When it comes to my Now 119 tracklist predictions, the one song I will definitely exclude is Ice Spice ft. Central Cee: Did It First as I find the song extremely overrated and garbage and the same has to be said for Ice Spice's other songs imo 👌
The NOW 119 Tracklist has leaked, it's pretty good though there's still no 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' by Shaboozey, no Charli XCX with 'Apple' or 'Guess' (feat. Billie Eillish) and no 'It's OK I'm Ok' by Tate McRae either, and Sabrina Carpenter does have a double appearance with 'Please, Please, Please' and 'Taste'. There's also only 44 tracks with 22 on each disc, which isn't that many when you compare it to other recent NOWS.
@@robertatkinson1347 I've seen the artwork and tracklist combined too 👍 it is indeed a shame that Shaboozey, Charli XCX'S two songs and Tate McRae aren't on the albums tracklisting to say the least but I'm glad Ice Spice isn't on the album juat as I thought at all though, that's the bonus at least 🥰😀👌
@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 another plus of the album for me is all the Indie Rock acts on the second half of CD 2, with the likes of Snow Patrol, The Killers and the Manic Street Preachers who only appeared previously on NOW 67, as it very much reminds me of the 2004-2009 era where Indie Rock acts were much bigger and were featuring on NOW albums frequently. Also going back to the exclusion of Tate McRae this album has very much followed the trend of last years NOW 116, as she was left off that one with 'Greedy' only for it to show up on NOW 117 instead so the same may happen here and we'll see 'It's OK, I'm Ok' show up on NOW 120 next spring.
As much as we prefer the underrated Bebe Rexha over the overrated Ice Spice, would you say you prefer Bebe over KSI and Diddy? For me, I would prefer her over the latter even though I love KSI's music and like Diddy's music too 👌
@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 yes I would probably say so a bit more 👌
@@robertatkinson1347 I also feel the reason being is that there hardly is a lot of today's rappers who have music that I'm a fan of but Coi Leray is a good example of a rapper in the current generation that I love as I enjoy her song Players so much including David Guetta's song Baby Don't Hurt Me which of course features Leray and Anne-Marie 😍🥰
Today I played a buzzfeed quiz called Lets Settle This: Who Is The Ultimate Pop Girl?. The quiz is about picking between which female musician you prefer more than the other and then it reveals your choice (the musician you like most) and I got Kelly Clarkson but I love nearly every other pop queen on the quiz just as much too 🤩😍🥰💗
As far as our unpopular opinions go other than our preferences of the likes of Ava Max, Bebe Rexha, Rita Ora and Zara Larsson over Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande (whom I personally love still), some of our other unpopular opinions include: Katy Perry over Beyoncé and Rihanna (whom I also personally love too) Lady Gaga over Rihanna Sabrina Carpenter over Olivia Rodrigo (whose music I started to become a fan of) OneRepublic over Maroon 5 Avril lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Natasha Bedingfield, Jordin Sparks and Hillary Duff over Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Meghan Trainor, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus. Would you also say you prefer Dua Lipa over Taylor Swift? Even though I know you're not a big fan of them 👌
@sddk2k8theavabebezaraduafan66 yeah I would probably say so yes, and I would also say that OneRepublic's stuff in general is probably better than Maroon 5's newer stuff, though not their older stuff that's for sure.
@@robertatkinson1347 yeah Maroon 5 seem to be one of those musicians and one of my overall musical inspirations whose music slightly worsens throughout each album era but not completely until Jordi yet that album isn't even that bad but their best albums have to be SAJ (2002-06) IWBSFL (2007-08) and HAO (2009-11/12) mainly followed by Overexposed (2012/2012-13) and Red (2013/2014-16) 👌
Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Sia and Duffy over Adele is another opinion/preference I feel is slightly underrated and unpopular, same with the Bruno Mars over Harry Styles one though I think you may prefer Harry over Bruno 👌 sometimes I kinda forget how underrated Demi Lovato really is and she's another example of an overall musician (other than powerhouse musicians) that I prefer over Adele too 😀

@JoJoWhizzKid123 that's a great list I must say and if the actual one is like that I would be more than happy, though I still do wonder if we'll get a double appearance of Sabrina Carpenter or not, part of me has that hunch that we'll only get 'Pleasse Please Please' and that 'Taste' could be saved for NOW 120 next spring. I really do hope 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' makes it as well as it was unlucky to miss out on a place on NOW 118 plus it's a great song too!
have this 2 disc box right now😂
Bridgit Mendler is underrated 😍🥰
I now prefer Olivia Rodrigo slightly more than Tate McRae even though I do like Tate too but I've recently listened to Olivia's albums Sour (2021) and Guts (2023) and I reallly do love them, especially Guts 😁😀
Hey Rob, apologies once again for the very late comment on this, although I gotta say that so far, NOW 118 has to be the top best NOW of 2024. Sure, it's only got 47 tracks similar to NOW 116 from last year, but a good chunk of those are both those that made it to the Top 10, Top 20 and Top 40, and ones that I did indeed predict, even if I didn't see the appearances of Selfish and exes, which missed out on NOW 117. However, I am baffled that "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" and ESPECIALLY "Whatever" missed out on this album. In case you're wondering, yes, I do have my NOW 119 predictions more or less done, and I should be posting them within a few days. I think you might like certain choices I've made.
@JoJoWhizzKid123 ah no worries and thanks for commenting, and I too was very surprised at the omission of 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)' too though hopefully it appears on NOW 119, I do actually prefer the previous album NOW 117 to this one though this one is still pretty good, looking forward to seeing your NOW 119 predictions! 🙂
Diddy (AKA Sean Combs) is one of those other musicians whose music I like but wouldn't consider as a favorite musician tbh 👌
Have you got any of the 70’s yearbooks??
@twitchygiraffe4636 I do indeed have 1979 and 1978 and will be adding 1977 very soon once its out this November. I've also decided that 1979 will indeed also be my next Yearbook video 🙂
1987 is a good year of music, though doesn't beat 1986 in my opinion. My main 5 favourites are: I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) Living In A Box La Bamba Crazy Crazy Nights What Have I Done To Deserve This? My least favourites are 'Male Stripper' and 'Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye' Great video Rob! 🙂
Thanks as always Joe and I quite agree, i'm also agreeing with your least favourite song choices too!
