Both of these Kenmore and Kirby tools work very well. That Hoover turbo tool is very weak, but your modification clearly made it work better. Dyson turbo tools from your previous video have clean fan design where the turbine has separate intake. Like you showed these turbo tools always need some kind of air release holes or grooves. My full size Electrolux turbo nozzle is very capable, but it has one major flaw. It's completely sealed and even when it's spinned by very powerful vac it dramatically slows down when it's on the carpet. I had to cut air release vents to it so it was usable. This was great series to watch 😎
That old Kirby turbo tool resembles the infamous "rug rat" that's sold as an accessory for central and canister vacuums. Either way, neat tool. I still wish that the Kirby company would make a Kirby with an electrified hose option to run an electric brush, I have never really been a fan of the Zip brush.
Nice video Bill , did you know the Heritage 2 was when Kirby released the newer style zip brush .,which stayed the same design upto the early Sentria 1. As of 2011 the last of the Sentrias then came with the newer shape which the Avalir has . Though it it still the same turbine .
Yes, and I made a video on November 23rd, 2020 showing all 5 of my Zipp brushes starting with the H2L shiny chrome model. ruclips.net/video/IcoMvAzrIV8/видео.html Take a peek.
There is only really one flaw with the older Kirby turbo tool, and that’s how small the opening from the brush roll to the turbine area is, clogs easy.
