I remember watching a spoon trick with uri gellar , it was on the tonight show , he couldn't do it because the host brought out a sealed pack of silverware.
Jonny Carson called the great randini and asked what he could do to make sure he wasn't full of shit, he told him do not give him access to any of the props before he performs. Uri ws only one of the fakes exposed by the great randni.
If you're relatively strong you can use misdirection and bend the spoon with your hands (for example turning around to talk to someone or standing up quickly) and then reveal it slowly to make it look like it is in the proccess of bending. This method was used by Uri Geller and was used by James Randi to duplicate his apparent psychic feats.
@@scptime1188 Agreed. That's the way that many pros perform the trick in closeup situations. Because this channel is for beginners, it's not something that we plan to teach here. Thanks for writing.

@@AboutMagic basically uri geller always pissed me off. I know it was magic. But so many other people consider him a real psychic with paranormal powers . I showed them the johnny carson show where he claimed they were giving him bad vibes. Still they think he did it with his mind . Uggh I'm so angry that people fall for that.
@@AboutMagic johnny carson was a magician himself. Which he made as a skit on his show. I think he only embarrassed uri because uri didn't ever introduce himself as a magician. But a clarevouyant. A man with psychic powers. Wich is basically a con artist.
To bend the spoon, wouldn't it be simpler to just pre cut the spoon? Just enough to where it still holds its shape. and Ive never seen duct tape and a straw on a spoon before it was bent. thats silly.
There are different ways. You don't even need to cut it as you can just bend a cheap spoon back and forth until it's about to break. I agree that the method in this video is probably not the first choice of most magicians.
I still don’t get it, I gave a guy one of my own spoons and he did this in front of me, no prep, I checked the spoon beforehand, it was 100% the same one as well
Those spoon-bending tricks are beyond the scope of this channel that is geared towards beginners and kids. Good luck with your search for a great spoon bending trick. I'm sure that you'll find something that will work for you. Best regards.
this is just cheap. There is also bending with a real spoon which you can show to the spectator and getting out clean. A 10 yr old can do this one here.
@@AboutMagic I'm pretty sure that gallium is non toxic. I don't know the melting point but I'm. Guessing it's only about 20 degrees Celsius. Yes, you're right.
Gellar was on local tv show. Got people at home to put spoon on top of tv and say "work" loudly a few times in order for it to bend. It bent. A lot

It's actually Gallium which is melting because it has the temprature of 28 to 30°c and human body has 32°c so, it melts
Yes, the trick can be done that way.

How did geller break spoon
Different technique.
There is a 4th way to bend the spoon and that is to actually use the power of you're mind 🔮 😉
I guess there’s no magic secret. Just mind power.

pla tell me that I'm not the only one who can bend and crack the spoon without magic and I'm a girl and my age is 11

i can do that too its really weird
what's the music in the first trick?

I don't need a magic trick to bend it because I can literally do it With my palm of my hands.
That works as well.
Wouldnt they ask to see the spoon, what’s the point
It’s a trick and every trick has a weakness. Thanks for writing and best regards.
But in the beginning the magician shows a solid spoon , how does he switch to the prop. As usual it must be a table ? Right?
It could be the table but there are many ways that the switch can occur. Also, it depends on how the spoon is shown to be "solid."

The spoon is made out of gallium I think. It’s a non toxic metal which melts at 30 Celsius
