    I think it’d be rly nice to see exactly how u progress your gear. i.e this is the gear I used when I first walked into fall of the outcast, this is how I got the gear I’m using in empowered monos, and this is how I got the gear I’m using at 400 corruption. Stats to look out for, the first farms u do, etc etc

    I would love help understanding the value of idols specifically. how do their rolls work, are all the affixes T1?

    • @Tenkiei
      @Tenkiei  9 месяцев назад +1

      All affixes are T1 and they roll within a range, so your loot filter should be set up such that only good idols show up to begin with and all you need to do is check the numbers.

  • @tutompop

    The loot is overwhelming if you don’t use a filter. I think it’s to make self found characters more viable without being forced to trade. I never participated in trading on third party websites or in chat. That’s great if you like to but it’s not for everybody. The loot is great if you use a filter.

    I find it really hard to sort through the idols, I pick up so many and going thru them one by one for the high rolls for resistance/health rolls and hoarding the best rolls for skills, it is a pain and a waste of time. I know I can loot filter them, but I kind of want to keep a couple of high rolled ones for everything. Is there a way to create a loot filter for only the good rolls within its range? How do you sort idols please? Maybe a video on that too? Subbed, Thank you!

      The solution is the loot filter. Set a tier level filter on the affixes you want

    • @Tenkiei
      @Tenkiei  9 месяцев назад +2

      I don't go for the one of everything approach, I only filter for Idols with 2 desirable mods so when my filter highlights something I know it's worth picking up. You can't filter by ranges so you need to be fairly strict with idol filtering, and aggressively remove things you don't need. So I sort idols by: if on filter pick up, check rolls, if lower than what I have equip/store, if not toss. If I feel like my idols are near perfect I turn it off from the filter (CoF only).

    As a new player, i basically picked up nothing until lv 50 except 1 or 2 weapons because it all seemed like generic garbage even with a preloaded loot filter from maxroll. Don't really get it lol

    • @tutompop

      At a baseline stacking your resistances and whatever your damage type would be good. It’s not necessary but it makes it smoother. If you’ve got a build in mind you can go into more detail even if you’re farming items for a new build.

    this is the one thing I actually despise about ARPGs its so hard for normal players to filter the items that are actually upgrades for your build which just turns the game into a slog as you end up having to read everything. I always burn out once you hit the point where you can easily miss a upgrade as your getting rid of the other 99.9% so you just assume its useless as well.

      There's so much shit in this game I ended up just hiding literally everything except for the 10ish affixes I was directly using + uniques and exalted. Probably missing a ton of good items but I can get them later if needed

    • @TH-dg2mm
      @TH-dg2mm 9 месяцев назад +4

      This problem is solved by making your loot filter really precise and playing with CoF.
      Make your loot filter only show you items that have a t6/t7 stat.
      Make your loot filter only show you items that have at minimum 2 stats you find useful.
      Hide every single item that isn't for your specific build.

      Because there is so much trash and fluff. D2R doesn't need a filter at all, maybe a clutter option IF you're doing something like cows and have piles of white items. But generally it's extremely idiot proof to know what to pick up.

    Has really boring itemization and too much garbage overall and RNG involved in upgrading/crafting. COF is also ridiculously overpowered, the whole point of SSF isn't to be compensated for your choice, it's meant to be harder overall.

    • @omaribrooks
      @omaribrooks 9 месяцев назад +3

      No, that's what SSF if for YOU. Some people don't give a shit about additional challenge and just want to play the game solo or offline. So play SSF for a challenge if you want, the rest of us can play an ARPG that isn't balanced around player-to-player trading.

    • @Despond
      @Despond 9 месяцев назад

      Want to make a bet more players play ARGPs for loot and player driven economy? COF is stupidly broken, and SSF was always intended to be a harder mode, it's whole inception was based around personal drops only and losing everything upon death including your stash. You have variations now but it's not an OPINION on SSF initial intention. The best SSF is POE while it's not true SSF it's at least not buffing drop rates but you still get to keep your stash items. And who is "OURS" you're not some united front, you mean YOU. If you were true SSF you wouldn't even have the ability to talk to player in game. What you really want is singleplayer RPG with online functions.@@markxv2267

    • @Despond
      @Despond 9 месяцев назад

      No ARPG is balanced and created around SSF as the intended main buyer. Name me one ARPG that has. ARPGs are loot-based grind games with a strong p2p economy, SSF is always a niche that's either self-imposed difficult by the player when there are no functions (like d2r) or an oversight function to enable it like POE. Then you create a divide because SSF players decide trade is easy mode (like in poe) but the reality it's not harder, it's a self-imposed difficulty like attached weights to your legs while sprinting against others. Oh and I've completed full challenges on multiple seasons on POE SSFHC, which still isn't true SSF because you can talk to people and keep your stash. What you want is a singleplayer RPG.

    • @omaribrooks
      @omaribrooks 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@Despond Uh, Diablo 4 is not built around player-to-player trading; the trading in that game sucks and is barely functional. And Last Epoch is not balanced around player-to-player trading; it's got a full offline mode were you obviously can't connect to other players.
      "What you want is a singleplayer RPG." Are you actually12? The original games in the genre were offline and single player... so yes! These games aren't MMOs with raid bosses! Coop is optional not required. Also having to rely on internet strangers to progress our own character builds (by acquiring the items they found) is not fun for some of use so we will take a pass where we can.
