I remember when I was a freshman like 5’5 carrying a sousaphone for one of our football games I somehow forgot my sousaphone at our band hall, yes I shit you not the whole sousaphone I forgot it and I had to sit in shame on the bleachers while everyone else played. I’ve played baritone sax since 7th grade, and that instrument’s sound gives me life. The only bad thing is it is really hard for me to be able to take it home to practice, really wish I could more often. Also I name all my instruments my current Bari sax is named Patricia.
Man I started band in 7th grade when most started in 6th and I'm still 3rd chair climbing to 1st. I just got a wooden clarinet today because my band director recommended me it and she recommended the most EXPENSIVE one the r-13 and I play great on it. She was bragging about me to other band directors and I'm so proud!

(This street is like 8 blocks) we go to pull into this little parking lot and she hits a pole. Her parents are very strict and controlling. We go to her grandma's job because her grandma is a real one and she don't tell lexis mom. We go to the collision place in town and her mom gets there and starts screaming at her IN PUBLIC then takes me with them to the insurance place. The insurance place has my address down where the "accident" happened Don't skip band camp kids

My band is currently doing band camp, but it won't stop raining. So, in order to learn drill, we have to make a fake field in the gym. Luckily, my band is pretty tiny, so all of our drill mostly fits into the gym.
9:30 my band director luckily knew what he was doing when he made me a euphonium, ignoring the fact that i am a sophomore and am worse than a freshman, but in my defense that freshman has learned 3 intruments (euphonium/baritone, trombone and trumpet) 3 clefs and has been in all state every year since 7th grade, although i am not much better than the other freshman

I started band in 4th grade (age 10) playing the flute, couldn't play for SHIT, switched to Alto Sax in 6th, the world shut down before i could get a single lesson. Started taking virtual privates in june 2020, started playing in middle school band, and in person lessons started in july 2021. Became one of 3 alto sax in my high school pep band, one of 2 alto sax in my middle school band. Now possibly picking up bari sax despite being 4" 11' and having barely any lung capacity and no ability to play rhythms before hearing them. I'm pretty proud of myself honestly, i loved band even when i was playing flute despite not being able to make a sound but now that i can play my instrument it's my favorite part of the day!
Just spent an hour fixing a garden hose in my yard. I don’t even know why, I should be practicing, but whatever. Also, I started band in like 3rd grade. I didn’t know other people hadn’t had a music teacher who started doing band with her students. Thank you so much Ms.Burns, I will use what I learned wisely
Straight up in summer I was doing band camp and I was a tuba player. One problem was since quarantine my legs got super weak. And also I only played in band where you get to play sitting down. So I literally died in band camp and had to change elective. But I already go do band again when I get my chance again

One sounds like a dying duck while the other one has a more warmer/ mellow sound to it (you can tell which one is which). Trust me, I know what i’m talking about because I personally play the clarinet (and has been playing it for 4 years now WITH A GOOD TONE) and I’ve heard an oboe sound. I will go on RUclips sometimes and listen to musicians playing different instruments. I’m even subscribed to an Oboist and a Clarinetist and I can tell you (even with musicians that are specifically trained in those instruments) THEY DO NOT SOUND THE SAME.
