Thank you for this Sir Walter. I have been struggling with finding a church and going to church. I am very discouraged with the teachings and everything that has been going on in today’s churches. I learned more during COVID being home then I did in all of my 40 plus years going to church

Yep, that's how I feel. I've been visiting different churches, and noticed so much that's not the main focus for God. I've received more "nuggets" from the content creators "teachers" rather pastors or not.
This is the 3rd time I’ve gone to a Catholic Church in a bldg.i really enjoy it and it’s across the street from where I live. I’ve been trying to get to church but didn’t have transportation. It was costing quite a a bit on Uber. I asked several ministers to help me get there but no one helped me. I couldn’t believe a church was across the street. I have looked to see when they were taking up collection. There was NO collection for these 3 weeks. It blew my mind! The people are very kind and accepting. There’s only one other African American there besides my self. There is no pretense there and I really enjoy it. They have deacons and one is a woman, a deconette maybe. I’ll have to find out. The holy spiritual sent me there. I am amazed. No transportation needed! Although I need a car in the worst way and am trying to save money to get the down payment. Would you know anyone that could help me in San Diego county?
Pastor Jones, thank you so much for your sound teachings. I appreciate it. I like attending the church service as well. There is benefit in assembling together as you get to share, bear one another up, encouragebone another. Just mere presence is impactful, for example, shaking hands, nodding heads, waving, smiling, praying together, the singing, the praise and worship with other worshippers. You don't get this same feel otherwise. You also get the opportunity to sharpen skills as relate to: presentation, speaking, preaching, teaching, planning, creativity, social. You see the growth in individuals. Nothing replaces actually attending service. Because there will come a time when we will not have this freedom of worship (public assembly), I am going to take advantage of the opportunity so I won't have any regrets (if it happens in this life time). Blessings and I will continue to tune in.
Who was Adam's Pastor?? Did Moses or Abraham have a Pastor?? No they had direct access to the Presence of God, continual fellowship with God. This is one of the many wonderful things Jesus did for us through His Death, Burial and Resurrection...the Fulfilled Work of Jesus Christ.

The part you mentioned regarding a man being jealous when you give your heart to someone else including God is confirmation.
I remember when I was pulling one way nothing I did worked until I surrendered. And the Holy Spirit reminded me of Exodus God is a jealous. I knew then God was not going to let anything I do work. I had to choose to walk with the Lord.

As far as joining another church only to keep getting the side-eye from the women in the congregation as well as having my spiritual gifts blocked, I'm good with online bible study & home church. I do occasionally visit other church and I make sure they can hear my bible pages for a pastor bible knowledge check thanks to you.😁
