Thank You guys, for real this music make me fall in love with Drums,it's beautiful! I'm just a begginer and bought a pdp set with some meinl cymbals the 141620 set! Hope one day to sound this good. 👍
Should make this track drums included available for download it's pure awesome.
I think only a drummer would get how right on this is, showcasing the depth of sound and contrasts. Non-drummers probably just want the guy to peart out on everything at once. Love it!
As a drummer (An amateur but still xD) I want to assure everyone uncertain that tho you are quite right, Pearting about is never wrong.
Peart never overplayed and understood space and phrasing
This is an excellent demo. They showcased each zone of every cymbal at different velocities. The groove was really nice context as well, you guys should use the same song and just replicate the note articulation with each different cymbal series you demo. I wish every video was like this one!

I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t like these cymbals. Sure, they lack a lot of attack and aggression but, for a more washy sound they’re phenomenal. Also, all those nasty overtones in the higher register sound like they’re virtually gone which is reeeeally impressive. They’re definitely the smoothest sounding cymbals I’ve ever heard.
Those nasty overtones are my only gripe with my meinl dark series
ngl those sound fantastic. I agree with the comment about wanting to hear the hats a bit more, but the other cymbals sound great!

I just got these cymbals. These things sound really good in my music room. Hopefully my neighbors will appreciate these better than the last cymbals lol.

I have to say that I didn't care at all about the cymbals but I stayed because I enjoyed your playing :)
Love the tune and the cymbals sound great. People give B10 alloy a bad rap but Paiste has used B8 in almost all of their premium line cymbals for years yet no one complains. These cymbals sound exactly the way they were designed to.
After listening to these demos way more times than I care to count, I am in love with this cymbal line. I've checked out so many others, but these have such a unique, full sound to them. Will be purchasing them asap.
Love that stack at the beginning. Gives the cross sticking a bit of an electronic quality

Excellent video. I have the Classics Custom Dark 12in Splash, 16in Crash, 18in Crash and 19in Crash. This sold me on ordering the 22in Ride, 14in hi-hats and 18in China that I was on the fence about. Now I will have a complete set.

Probably my favorite mid-price-range cymbals from Meinl, and about the only non-Byzance series that sounds great with Byzance!
Not sure what it is, but I think these hats are my favorite I’ve ever heard. I’ve watched so many videos of these cymbals and every time it’s the hats that I’m just absolutely in love with.

Just picked up the 18in china... first Cymbal I have ever bought (my pearl came with a few Cymbals) and wow. I'm saving for the box set of these. Thanks Meinl for making my first Cymbal experience awesome :)

Beautiful demo. This is very similar to my setup: A 3 piece Mapex Saturn V Tour in Marine White, Meinl Classic Custom Dark Box Set with extra 20" Crash, 22" Crash Ride and 18" China. This cymbals truly sing.

Beautiful song. Excellent use of dynamics. I don't care for this line of cymbals but they fit in perfectly for this song.
Meinl should have a direct way for buying this cymbals. Here in Chile you can only get them through a specialist store and the price goes way up.
I got two dark crashes and i'm looking forward to get the rest of the set.

My gosh, guys! Great cymbals on their own, but the 12" splash sounds amazing when paired with a Byzance traditional China 16". Also, the drums are mixed SUPERBLY! Really balanced mix between the drums and cymbals. You just might've convinced a Sabian fan to switch!!!

Andrew Konkey I personally think that the only good sabian series are aax and hhx. They both sound very good. I personally like zildjan and paste best, but mean is also very great.
I'd like to hear the high hat open up a little more
There's a couple of more videos with different tracks that have different Classics Custom Dark setups on the kit. There will be some open hihat work on those videos. - Chris/Meinl

Der Sound ist sehr schön und auf dieser Aufnahme hört man gut die Abstimmung der Cymbals zueinander. Sauber gespielt und die Optik ist natürlich auch mal was anderes. Ich denke, die sollte man mal antesten.

Hands down the best Cymbals in the affordable pricerange. I just recently bought some Paiste Rude Cymbals because I tend to hit very hard. After a couple of hours of playing them I returned them to the store and got myself new Meinl Classic Custom Dark Crashes, they just sound so inceredibly great. I rather smash one of them once in a while and have to buy a new one of those, than switch to other cymbals. Already broke three Crashes... Maybe my technique is shit xD
I don't know your technique, but try gliding across the cymbal ever so slightly. This will save cymbals and sticks (I've broken one pair in ten years) also cymbals, especially thin and dark cymbals don't get very loud after a while no matter how hard you hit, so it's not a bad idea to pull your punches
Swipe the cymbals dont lay into them. Will extend the life by 5 fold.
