This is the "soft Opeth" I love. If Opeth just did this style after Watershed, I would have been happy. The proggy stuff is great, but this is so much better imo.
Ironically I think his improving in confidence so much as a singer made me like their newer stuff less because here in songs like this or Face of Melinda there is a such a touching vulnerability to the vocals that the more recent bombastic crooning just doesn’t have.
Yeah, but.. it's these tasty nuggets that make them soo special
It's a shame this didn't make it on the album proper. I always thought it would work well as an album closer right after "Blackwater Park"
