I love tumbling tower blocks! So versatile and fun to work with. You aren’t kidding about them not all being the same. I’ve run into that too. Big hugs friend! 🤗🥰
It is amazing all the things you and others have come up with to make from the tumbling tower blocks. I’m impressed and inspired. As a crafter and a RUclips creator I am always so happy to learn from talented RUclipss like you.
The flower window box is to die for. I really love that. Going to make one for myself. Another plan I saw in it, was a garden trellis for instance standing in a planter box. Then I would put Ivy in it growing up against the trellis. So now your super design can work both ways. 😊💚
Been following your channel for about a year now. You are an amazing creator. I love how your ideas are new and not repeats of others. Especially love the trash DIYs that you do. Thanks for your creative energy and utilizing your own things to create beautiful pieces inexpensively.
Hi Holly, This was the best video I have ever seen regarding these blocks. And yes, I agree depending on who made them, many are not the same size. Last summer I made a cool candle holder and I had it in the middle of the porch table with a real candle in it and my mom loved it. I do not think she believed I made it until I showed here the blocks. I also made a tea light holder around Christmas time and on each side of the faux flickering tea light I had real Holly and berries. Both projects I used the plain wood which when I worked at the lumber yard we called Blond wood and then I bought a few other boxes, had an old plastic tub and soaked them in walnut stain for awhile. Then I laid plastic down and an old dish towel and dumped them out and rubbed them all off. Everything you made I would like to make. Right before I moved a friend came over and saw about 10 old embroidery hoops. These dates back to the 1980s. I did not want to give them away but my friend asked if I could give her the medium and large ones to make her dream catchers to sell. I said ok and gave her all the large ones and have kicked myself ever since. Where I moved to is very very tiny but I have a lovely foyer. My mom had an old faux green wood framed window with mirrors. My place is made with plaster and lath so Molly bolts are out so for now I have the window on top of a antique desk. An Instagram friend from Canada sent me a gift last summer framed out in wood with canvas and it is about a flower market. I think I want to make a nice welcome wall for when you come thru the front door. I very much want to make your little window and box and hang it there. I may make 2 one on each side of the mirror to balance it out. Years ago at Pier 1 I guessed a large framed print with flowers that says BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED. I definitely want to make the embroidery hoop crafts too. I think in the fall mini pumpkins resting on those embroidery hoops will look cool and little brown bunnies. They are a bit pricey but, Home Goods has a large box of Tumbling Blocks and there are 100 pieces and the large round cardboard thing they come on I would love. They are all pastel colors and at least 4 inches long. I thought of buying one box, turned it around to the price tag and it was $50. Forget that I can make my own pastel ones that length out of shims. Anyway, I saved the best video for last. It's late for me and I start work at 7am. Again, great video, sorry for another novel and sorry if there are typos. My new phone has too sensitive of keys and I am very tired. Have a great week, Rebekah
@@HotHumblePie Thank you Holly! The next day after I wrote to you I could not believe it but I went to my companies coffee room and on the counter stacked up tall was a very pale in color tower of Jangle blocks. The noun was embossed in each one and the were 2 1/2 inches long and 1/2 an inch thick. No one was in the coffee room. Oh yeah I've been waiting for this video. As for the tumbling blocks? I think everything at Dollar Tree is changing and not for the better. The tower blocks used to be pretty equal with the occasional one here there , but now? Same thing with kitchen sponges, I just opened the package today I noticed that it got quite a bit shorter than it usually were. The price went up and the size went down like everything else.
@@shanlynn81 yeah there's a lot of things I never get to see in my Dollar Tree. Which is why I pretty much don't watch haul videos and I'm getting to the point where I don't even want to watch people's Dollar Tree craft videos anymore because I never get any of the stuff that they do.
