Read the seadoo spark manual. This is not what they say to do. I just use a air hose , per the manual, in the water intake on the left side and blow all the water out of the muffler that the water is cooling. 4 years of freezing temps, and no problems.
Great procedure. I pump in the antifreeze the same way and the Spark started up at the first push of the button in May - after I left it outdoor for the whole winter when the temperature dropped to -30. I did not even remove the battery - just used a solar charger to maintain it.
Hey just wondering about the antifreeze thing. I noticed someone else on youtube also pumping antifreeze through the exhaust. Is there any special reason you guys are doing this versus just blowing it out with compressed air as described in the manual?
Really like your videos. You have served the Spark community well. I have done a lot of work on mine following your vids. At some point your PTO gaskets are going need to be replaced (200 hrs or 2 years). Big job but would love a several part video set of that work! Best wishes on the new house!
dont forget some WD40 on the engin for the bults not to rust. i also use a pump to empty the hull in the front under the battery. it is the lowest point and will hold some water.
I RIDE 705 thanks for commenting so many youtubers dont pay attentiont to their fans a it just goes right over their heads that people take time out of their day to say something nice so im glad to see that you actually care aubout your fans. So anyway thanks
Damn that wiring for the lights in your garage needs to be fixed lol. A bx is just chilling on a duc half stripped marretted with another wire chilling on the drywall. Give me a call ill come fix it up for you! ;) Nice to see you making vids again, hopefully next season will be better!
lol ya i tore it down to mud and paint it all back up in conduit now and all lighting upgreded to LED 6000k garage is looking sick im shure youll see it on another video at some point or facebook I-ride motoblog
So if I just got my jet ski this season no need to do anything to the oil just yet only has about 10 hours. Just do the process in this video and it should be ready for winter?
Jorge Escarcega after 10 hours, the manual says to change the oil, you will need to buy a kit, as you have to use a transfer pump and a special oil. After you change the oil after 10 hours it should be good for about 50 hours. Consult your owners manual though, I’m not a complete expert.
I have been paying 200$ a year to have this done. Been looking for a good video to help me. Finally found one. Thank you. How often should you change the oil? Is that part of the winterizing process? Thank you again I will no longer be paying the 200$.
I use the same Amsoil aerosol fogging oil for my 4 stroke as I do for my 2 strokes. But it's applied differently. It's a 2 mississippi count spray via the airfilter box while the engine is running, then shut it down, and no worries about it effecting the oil sump. Whereas on the 2 strokes many of us pull the plugs, blast 3 seconds worth of fogging oil directly onto the pistons, cycle it with the starter for about 8 seconds to make sure it gets down into the lower end of the motor, and then put fresh plugs back in and seal it up for the year. I haven't done a full blown oil change for winterization on the 4 stroke, which is probably stupid, but I do it for the de-winterization before it hits the water, as well as fresh plugs, jet pump oil, grease in the zerk fittings, spark plug boot grease, etc etc
We have two 2017 Sparks, was about to pay for heated storage until I just watched your video. Do you use heated storage? Our garage is not heated, so I worry that the jan/Feb sub zero potential would be a problem? Or is this literally all that needs to be done for them? Great vids and we appreciate your expertise here!
Yes, fogging oil should be added to each cylinder. CRC makes a great product. Another words plugs out add the fogging oil cylinder by cylinder you dont need to spray a ton Inside. Set plugs back in. Run engine for 10 secs. THEN disconnect or remove battery. Reccomend keeping battery stored in a warmer area for winter

Just attach an air hose and blow the water out?
Daniel Paterson, do you put any fuel stabilizer in ?

Did you leave the solar charger on it all winter?

Aren't you supposed to fog the cylinders for wintetization?

glad i could help, i changed it at 50 hours , after that every 100 hours, i use brp suggested oil, and I personally do max 2 seasons on oil
Nice video
Do you not need to do an oil change before storage or put a little oil in the cylinders?

You don’t need water hooked up to start jet skis?
Do you have to do this if you store your spark in a varm garage?
Gustav Boestad if it's cold enough to make ice at any point then yup
Where did you purchase that transfer pump?

Why was your mate towing his spark so much to relies that the valve was not a issue
