I have 2500+ hours on steam in vanilla alone, not counting modded. Saying this game was my childhood is an *understatement* and i still remember the day i was so confused that the axe couldnt break the wood wall. To anyone cringing at these guys, remember where we come from. Terraria isnt the most intuitive sometimes. But *fuck* is it fun.

I walled it off with double doors sealing off the tunnels out of caution. It's hilarious, looking back. Also really convenient world gen. That world as a whole was really generous with convienient placement of stuff
next time you play terraria: be careful, there’s a new biome called graveyard that starts when there’s 5 or more graves in one place. the ectoplasm is good for crafting, but the biome also spawns aggressive ghosts.

The reason the soor didn't open was because there was a ting on the other side, so thw only xould open it to the one side, when Ellis broke the door he also broke the other thing qhich stopped it
Haha, happens to the best of us btw today i beat the eatervof worlds, got full shadow armor and a nightmare pick, i got a demons scythe spell book, beat skeletron, and found the mechanic. Im becoming a not-noob sort of!

I just know my way around terraria so if I were to make a new save I’d be able to mostly do it and I’d know what to do like what the general order for the bosses is and what not to do like stepping on pressure plates that you didn’t place and getting away from your house before doing a boss I also know to get rid of bushes/blocks that are right next to a door oh umm also I know I’m too late for this to matter but for anyone who sees this and plays (and Is new) terraria I recommend getting rope coils if you can’t fly
Worm scarf is objectively better than brain of confusion even as of the buffs in 1.14 but in matters of opinion Crimson is so much better. It doesnt consist solely of flying enemies and bottomless chasms which pretty much make it impassable early game 🤷♂️
to be more specific a pwnhammer (but only in hardmode if you try to mine a demon altar with a pwnhammer or any other hammer in pre hardmode you get hurt)

I think that’s actually pretty neat that you made a containment unit for the altar
