What a nifty place! For all of the history and the blend of businesses now occupying the former homes, it reminds me a lot of St. Augustine, FL. Thank you for the walking tour!
Great video, Garrett! So much more to our beloved Old Town Spring than most of us realize! Such a nice little escape to simpler times just on the other side of the railroad tracks!
That building C Schmidt and Sons right next to the old bank is new. What used to be there was the first antique shop in Spring back in the early / mid '70's. It was called Things in Spring Antiques. All the locals thought the owners were crazy. Who'd ever drive to Spring Texas for anything, let alone to go antique shopping. Well those crazy folks were my parents Mason and Linda Romans. The only place to eat was Spring Cafe (now Wunsche Brothers).
Happy 100!!!
Thank you so much. It has been fun. Looking forward to the next 100. Thanks for watching and supporting. I appreciate it.
