If anyone gets the opportunity to see Numan playing live....go. He's brilliant making not only some of the best music of his career but some of the best music out there. Period. From strength to strength.
Phenomenal! Someone needs to be thanked for capturing this. That’s a ton of history on that one piece of equipment when they play simultaneously. Both of these men have made this genre of music relevant from the start to today and in 2018 you can’t have one of these artists without the other.
Look up Nine Inch nails at the Wiltern, he came out on that as well, that was AMAZING, it was the last show before his "break". I was at this show too, and I flew to Vegas last night for the show it was also badass! Going to all the Hollywood Palladium shows as well Can't wait to rock out! (again)
Saw Gary at Hammersmith 1979, during the "Are Friends Electric Tour". Who would have thought he'd be still going strong nearly forty years later? This is more brutal than the recorded version, but it sounds great. This was always my favourite GN track. It was a massive dancefloor filler in the defunct Studio 21 club on Tottenham Court Road London, along with Bowie's "Ashes To Ashes", Iggy's "Nightclubbing", Siouxie Sue's "Happy House" and Japan's "My New Career". Good luck to him.
Rob Jones cool memories man, thanks for sharing. I grew up in the 80’s and older sister loved those bands, I like them through her. Gary was my 1st favorite music song at age 4.
Nice, great to see them working together on stage once more. Trent is such a fucking legend for just taking a step back whenever needed, and letting Gary work his magic. I bet Trent is happy that he is now in a place to do for others what people like Peter Murphy and Bowie has done for him in the past; just get together on stage and fire up some fucking classics with artists he respects the shit out of.
These guys are aging pretty well! Vegas is the coolest people. They needed to break into Cars! There has a live performance of that maybe two or three yours ago in London and that mom with Gary Newman is awesome with the drums highlighted, REZNOR is tambourining it up and Newman is really into it! Fucking Nine inch snAils is doing it LONGER, just as hard and better than most! Has it been 35 years man? Wow that's awesome. NIN has saved me more than a few times in this life on this planet Trent REZNOR is pretty slick and smart! That guy did it! He really does it well!
"This guy"? You don't know who Gary Numan is? If anything HE "passed the torch" to "trent", not the other way around. Numan is LEGENDARY compared to NIN...
am i the only one that finds this embarrassing and just awful..!! love NIN. but that beer tent, forgotten the words yodeling,..how would anyone want that spoiling a brilliant song ?!?!!???
