Walking in Downtown Yangon to Sule Pagoda, Myanmar

The Sule Pagoda located in the heart of Yangon is a historical and cultural landmark of Yangon. It is said be to be over 2000 years old, making it older than Shwedagon Pagoda. Its Mon name, Kyaik Athok translates as “the pagoda where a Sacred Hair Relic is enshrined” as it is enshrining the hair of the Buddha. Currently, the stupa is under renovation as can be seen in this video.
