  • Sorry for the shaky video, but I was a little nervous documenting the work I was performing, in front of the camera, on my $1000 radio. The results, I'm happy to report, were well worth the effort.
    The camera didn't do the radios blue LED backlight mod justice until the last portion of the video, when I guess the lighting was just right.

    I'm glad I waited till I watched the whole video before I commented. I noticed your mistake immediately after you soldered the coax in. If you look at the board; the way you can tell which is the ground side is to look for the pad that's connected to the ground plane in four places around the pad. That's a sure fire way to determine the ground side. Glad you found it. :)

    3m fome tape works good from the autoparts store to hold that down... and 2 of the hols are grounding you can stock the ground in the mounting holes might help other people doing this mod.. good thing you got it working good !!!

    i really want to know what this filter is doing? what is happening over 2.1k my though is it would make the DPS usless over 2.2k so 3.0 would sound the same as 2.2

      oh cool thanks. How dues this effect the high cut after 2500? and this will not effect AM and FM right? if there is a good improvement in receive i may do this as i live in the city and have a lot of junk around me...
