A special thanks to you Dave for getting me into toy restoration and repair I am now the go-to Fix-It guy for my buddies vintage toy shop when he needs repairs to his collection so many thanks to you Dave
Dave, you don't know how much good you do for me. Those 20min of pure nostalgic, creative and technical moments are golden after a hard day at work. Star Wars, Mask, MOTU and Thundercats are my favorites.
The amount of work this man put in for his toys and our entertainment is astonishing. If I ever gonna repair my toys, I know where to look. Congrats Toy Polloi!🎉
There are three very useful things I have learned about, solely from your restorations, Dave. 1. the use of Lego. 2. Styrene. 3. Platsi-weld. I am timid about trying to do projects with cloth but I'm slowly building up the nerve. So, thank you very much for all the delightful restorations and all the free patterns and sticker files you provide, too. Oh, one more thing. I think your wife is a pretty cool person. I like the way she supports your hobby and the partnership you both have as a couple. I enjoyed that Q and A with her a little while back. I've always admired people who can sew and, of course, you, in particular. You are an excellent toy restorer and an extremely nice, generous fellow. Cheers!
This is one of our favorite videos. We are so happy to see you hit this milestone moment. Seeing survivors made whole through the years. Continuing to Toy Polloi those toys.
I was just commenting to a friend the other day about how I love how you build things yourself out of sheet styrene rather than simply 3d printing everything. It's a completely different & much more satisfying skill.
The day I found your channel will always be remembered as a great one. Hopefully I will keep growing older while older toys get a chance to be younger again in a ride along with you.
It's wonderful to see your channel thriving after 10 years. Your videos have always been great yet somehow keep getting better, and it's fun to see your skillset evolve and improve over time - both in video production as well as creative toy fixes! Congratulations on the first 10, and here's to many more!
Whoa I did not know that you have been doing this for 10 years Dave .You jave so helpful in repairing toys from all of our childhood. Looking forward to the next 10 years 😊
Love your work and eye for details. Congrats! You've inspired me to do many projects I would not have otherwise done with my old "hard-working" toys! Makes me proud when I can clean up something broken from my childhood and display it with pride! Have a blessed 2024 Toy•Polloi!
My go to channel to watch, you are the master of toy repair! You've inspired 1000's of people who enjoy toys to give there own toys a second chance and much more!
Hey Dave I like how Lego played a part of your #1. I know that you have entertained me for more than 6yrs, thank you, here is to many more! Take care of Yourself 😊 Ps. Also thanks to MrsTP for all of her on and off screen support.
The cape videos are how I found ToyPolloi and to this day anything cape related - especially Star Wars - and it’s almost a joint nostalgia trip and I’m there with the toy knit , scissors and thread . Without ToyPolloi I’d have a very sorry looking Star Wars figure collection as I had no idea how to restart collecting on a budget and make it look displayable. From there I was hooked and every video is a school day learning something new. Even better is I’ve made some fantastic friends with similar interests over the interweb via the channel and that in itself is testament to how you bring the community together. Looking forward to the next 10 years.
Thank you for helping me fixing a G1 Optimus Prime, Soundwave, Megatron and Mirage. All of the videos were brilliant and my fixed Transformers are looking now as if they were brand new. Keep on going!
It’s always interesting to see what content creators are most proud of. These are all excellent choices. Thank you for ten years of excellence and for being the pillar of our community that you are. Here’s to another ten years of greatness. Cheers Dave!
It was your action man paint removal video that convinced me to buy this GIJOE Destros destroyer that was completely covered in model paint. When I saw it, I remembered your video and used brake fluid to remove the paint and it works so well I actually showed it to the guy that I bought it from and he was absolutely blown away, so thank you for what you contribute to the toy world.
Congrats on TEN YEARS, Dave! I hope the next ten are even better! I remember all of these videos. That red Action Man was one of the few my gf watched with me. She was impressed! I had the same Steve Austin when I was a kid. Seeing the engine block and those chips in his arm really brings back memories. Thanks for that!!
Congrats, and thank you for 10 years! I've bought so many broken toys and parts because you gave me the confidence to restore them. Looking forward to another 10 years.
It has been a immense pleasure watching you fix toys over the past years i have been following your channel. Each new post shows how much you have learnt and improved on as time goes by . Here's to many more years of great fixes and surprises. Congratulations on the first 10 years.
Congratulations on ten years of success! Hopefully you’ll continue for many many more years! I’ve learned so much from your journey and I really appreciate your work. You have made toys great again! Also because of you many toys have been given new life and you have emptied many landfills from getting toys!
Like everyone else, happy ten year anniversary. I enjoy your channel tremendously, if fun , interesting, informative and always a walk through memory lane. Wishing another wonderful ten more years!
Some of your classic fixes there Dave! Thank you so much for all the fantastic video content over the past ten years and let’s hope there’s many many more years of it to come!
It's been an AMAZING 10 years, Dave! I've enjoyed every single one of your videos, and I can't say that about any of the other RUclipsrs channels that I follow. Most every RUclipsr has a clunker or two, but NOT YOU! You were the very first RUclipsr that I ever subscribed too back in 2014, and I can proudly say that I've seen all of the videos that you've ever posted publicly on RUclips! I customize action figures--sculpting and painting, and I repair them too, and 75% of my knowledge in regards to repairing toys has come from watching your channel! As far as I'm concerned, you're a godsend! Congratulations on 10 fantastic years of entertainment, learning, and fun! You deserve only the best my friend! I will continue watching your videos as long as you make them! When it comes to RUclips, they're always top-priority for me!
Congratulations ton the 10 years! I love all of these videos, and several on the list have helped me save toys of mine. I definitely used your Skeletor face painting one to make my Origins Skeletors look right (and I've managed to salvage some pretty brutally damaged faces on original vintage MotU thanks to you.) You've also helped me understand how to think about toy repairs , too. I've managed to work out my own repairs on things you've not covered, thanks to your techniques, and I'm super grateful.
Congratulations on hitting the 10-year milestone. I enjoy all your videos and have learnt many useful techniques from watching them. All the best for the next 10-years!
It really is hard to believe ten years gas gone by. I found your channel while trying to find ways to restore a vintage G1 Megotron. That one video turned me into a Toypolloi junky. To the best of my knowledge,, I have watched every video you've made to date. The Optimas Prime video, the capes, the custom toys with lighting are definitely some of ky favorites. I think the ones I like the most are the ones where you literally rebuild toys from scratch. You ingenuity is phenomenal. One of my absolute favorite videos is the Helicopter rebuild. Where you made the landing gear, and several other parts. Absolutely amazing. As always Dave another great video, and thank you for what you do. Happy Anniversary to Toypolloi.
I've thoroughly enjoyed your videos and look forward to see what's still to come. Thanks for all the help over the years, your videos have been a godsend
A great mix, Action man being restored was i think one of the first videos of yours i watched. Well done on ten years and heres to the next. My channel would not exist without your help so a massive thanks for that too 🤘🤘
10 years! What a great legacy! You’ve certainly inspired me to have a go at fixing some of my toys. I havent watched your Lego post vids, what a great idea, need to check those out. I’ve got an upcoming project so I need to test out your styrene tips also. Thanks for the numerous ideas Dave and the inspiration to give a new lease of life to those toys that might easily get abandoned. Bravo 👏👏👏
I love all your videos but for some reason my favourites are the ones where you use Photoshop to carefully create or recreate stickers for vehicles and playsets. Absolute joy! Congratulations on 10 years of saving childhood memories!
Went over to New Zealand to work on Amazon lord of the rings, show, an old friend of mine who lives over there and I were talking on set one day and you came up in conversation it was fun that a couple of professional make up affects artists who are both passionate about toys had you in common, Congrats on 10 years, love watching your Vids
Wonderful stuff- love that this is about what they mean to YOU. And, thanks to you, I now have my own precious collection of toys that I used to have in childhood, many bought quite cheaply and then repaired/restored to their former glory using methods, ideas and just general encouragement from your channel.
Thank you Dave for your work. It is so much fun to watch how things get fixed ans repaired. Filming and working at the same time. Awesome. I learned a lot of your experience. F.e. Using miliput for my projects. Keep up the good work.
Congratulstions Well done. My favourites of yours are the xwing diecast canopy - very clever! The Terrahawks cubes you made. And the bullet man which you bought of me. I've fixed few toys from your videos many thanks for amazing content. A kindred spirit for vintage toy love

I think some of the things you're doing may be pioneering certain ideas like using dyes to recolour the cast material of a figure, or all of those repairs with lego joints as the replacement pins, sockets, pegs, etc., so keep innovating and experimenting, and just keep up the great work! Just one small suggestion, you mentioned that your restored ram man is able to jump way higher than it would've been able to originally, i do wonder if you could turn that into a world record of some sort? Superb video - really interesting to delve into the Toy-Polloi archives ❤

Thanks. That is a cool project. I should return to it as I have a few ideas for more to do with the At-At.
Congratulations on your 10 years on youtube, Dave! After watching your work for at least 5 of those 10 years now....I think what you're doing is just awesome.

Just one small suggestion, you mentioned that your restored ram man is able to jump way higher than it would've been able to originally, i do wonder if you could turn that into a world record of some sort? Something to keep in mind at least.
Here's to many more years of toy polloi! Cheers!
Happy birthday Toy Polloi🎉

That paint covered Action Man is my absolute favourite, a video I watch all the time. Just because I find the worse shape the figure is in to begin with the more engrossing the video and there's really never been anything worse than him.
I like videos that show a lot of different techniques and ideas. Sometimes I'll pass on a video because having seen your work I know how you tend to do thumb repairs or remaking lost parts from Styrene. But the ones that really engross me and that I always click on are the ones where I look at the state of the toy and have absolutely no idea how you're going to approach it.
Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary. Your video's have been super helpful over the years. I've fixed several tie fighters with broken wings thanks to you.
