If he was a player now he would be that player that doogie said every week, noones noticing the quality of Paul Scholes because he's playing a vital part of the game that isn't as visible as scoring a goal every week.
With VAR, they need to allow managers to have atleast 1 or 2 challenage calls a game like they do NFL coaches. If something seems overly rushed and not right the manager can challenge that call and have it reviewed based on his opinion and it has to be looked into. If we are going to have this stoppage in the game, might as well let the managers have a say and if they are right they get a max of 1 more challenge, if they are wrong they don't get another challenenge. Challenges that are deemed correct after the game that were not called during the game result in an automatic docking of 50% pay for the refs of the game/VAR official (the pay that is docked can go to charities). Give the manager some power if we are going to have unknown people in the VAR booth.
