Between Steve Young Guy Clark and Micky Newberry I have so many beautiful songs to play I’m alive. They were the best friends I had , that I never met. JD
EDDIE.....~THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ♥~ One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL SONGS ever performed by Steve Young... I need not say more....the song is incredibly beautiful.... ~You are the best friend one can have~... ....Marianne xxx
Tom Russell introduced me to Steve Young as an artist and performer (soon after meeting Tom and Andy Hardin). As I recall, both considered him (SY) among the best combination of voice and playing. Must say I came to agree after listening to his records, and even more after seeing him live on several occasions. Also, a fascinating person, and kind soul.
Yes, John. SY defines "high lonesome" for me. Once heard him described as "a father of rockabilly". Saw him together with T. Russell in early 90's. Tremendous...
Steve was the trifecta as a guitarist, singer and songwriter but more importantly he was an awesome human being ❤

I can't give this guy a more fitting sign of approval than say I have every recording he ever made.

The words are very powerful...and....I bet...hit home for many of us!
This guy sings with great depth...beautifully done!
one of the greats powerful lyrics and sung with sincerity
My song. My life. I first heard Steve Young in about 76 on the radio singing My Oklahoma. I absolutely think he should have been a super star.
Larry Kinney. You are so right Larry
Steve didn't want to be a super star. He liked who he was and to do what he wanted, to live his life as he wanted. Really, that is absolutely true.
Hauntingly beautiful. I miss him.
It just doesn't get any better than this!! BEAUTIFUL.
