With these types of companies you're paying for the quality. Out of all bag companies out there, I've never heard anyone say that the quality of Hermes has declined.
Just yesterday I saw a bag inspired by the Evelyne tpm bag, the price was under 200 USD. I had my Evelyne tpm with me, so I could put the bags side to side and compare the differencees. What people don’t realise when buying bags that “look similar” to the real deal, is that companies like Hermès also invest a lot into the engineering of a bag. It must make sense, it has to maintain the shape, to stand up straight… etc. I wasn’t always in a position where I could afford a real Hermès bag, but no matter how much I wanted one, I never thought of buying a replica.
My unpopular opinion is I think the 24/24 is way better than the birkin or Kelly. I think it's the cutest Hermes bag they have. I also like the picotin more too than the quota bags. They're the only two Hermes bags I would consider buying ❤
@@Jessiestyle 24/24 mini is so beautiful love it. It can be used in several ways. For sure, you will adore it as well :)). I am still waiting for a mini lindy lol😅, another bag that I desire to have.
Why would such a high level expensive brand have issues with stickers damaging the metal even after many years. The finish on the hardware should be of such high quality that the finish would never come off especially because of a sticker being left on to protect them
I do agree with you on the pricing. I don’t mind it. (Just haven’t made it there yet 😂 Hopefully one day😊) Feel it is worth it either if wanting forever or just a length of time.
On the Picotin do u put Twily on the part the slides up and down to avoid glazing coming off ? And last ques trust u if had choice of Herbag 31 or garden party what is better long term
A QQ.. I believe you have the mini bolide and a bigger sized version (27?)… which size do you prefer or do you enjoy both sizes and it does make sense to have both? Thanks!
some second hand shops carry real leather bags in excellent condition that look new, but are not luxury brands. i like that you can tell they're quality but they don't scream money.
I bought a new lv bag preloved, the sticker was on. When i took the sticker of the hole in the sticker left a mark since the metal in the hole had tarnished before the metal under the sticker.
I have never seen an hermes bag in real life. I would love just to look at them someday, I live in a rual area next to metro areas but I don't even know where an hermes store is. Oh I did have a vintage Amazonian garden party that was a disaster.
I think you’ll be offered a Kelly 25 by your boutique one of these days. It just requires some patience since you’re already a big fan and been building your profile at your local boutique. Yeah, fine jewelry will likely make the offer quicker.
Some great points here. Especially about some of the nonquota bags being a decent price. Do you think vintage bags kept in good condition hold their value? How are they priced? What they were originally sold for condition dependent? Or how popular the bag was when first issued? What are some popular vintage bags?
Can the garden party be repaired touch ups if get it scuffed etc I only ask it because it’s the only Bags I make with that leather but I thank you for telling me that it’s real leather
Hey Jess firstly love your Hermes videos as they are so educational . Secondly what are your thoughts on the lindy 34? I love my lindy 26 and would love to add to my lindy collection . Would it be too big? I’m 160cm
Hi Jess Can you please make a video on how to spot a fake Hermes bag? I mean a detailed one with close up clear pictures of logo, hardware and inside? (no need to show the serial number). I have watched almost every youtube video on that, and read all blogs on google, but most of them are of bad quality filming/ lighting, or by some one with bad English, or not enough/ not clear good quality close up pictures. I'm trying to find a pre-loved bargain, and where I live there is plenty of first grade or AAA fakes, it's very hard for me, as someone who have never owned a real Hermes bag, to tell the difference. Would very much appreciate your help and thanks in advance.
I looked into bababebi and loads of reviews said they had bags authenticated incorrectly by them (ie saying they are authentic when they are not) so kind of put me of. Also they only provide an “opinion” and won’t stand behind their opinion so I’m not sure I would trust them or any authentication service that only uses pictures. The bags need to be examined and handled by someone who knows and can tell not just by look, but by the feel and the smell and everything like that. The fakes are just too good by the sounds of it…
It’s important to get a few authentications and get a feel for Hermes bags yourself for sure! There a plenty of authentic bags to be found however so I don’t think one should completely disregard the second hand market 🥰 thanks Tanya!
@@Jessiestyle Oh totally I love the secondhand market don't get me wrong! I meant it put me off using bababebi for authentication. I think for your more unusual bags, especially vintage bags or bags that are no longer in production, that would be pretty safe, but for the really hot items, I would be very careful, only buy from places that guarantee authenticity and try to use an in-person authentication service if possible. I saw a Kelly bag on marketplace for example that is being sold for no more than retail and is in brand new condition... that would raise alarm bells for me TBH.
Hermes sounds like my mother, " be nice, dont be an entitled brat and enjoy what you got rather than wanting more right away" I didnt know it was the job of a bag company to educate their customers, but if their mother didnt do it, maybe it isnt such a bad idea.
Hermes pricing is absolutely worth it to me, not only for the name brand and the personalized luxury experience, but I like that the bags are handmade by artisans. I also don't feel as guilty knowing that they treat (and pay) their employees well. Of course hermes has had issues with treatment of exotic animals, but at least they aren't using sweatshops or slave labor to make their bags. The markup compared to most other luxury brands is truly not that high.
Do you think you need to buy a lot of non-bag items before you can buy a non-quota bag? I really want a picotin in a bright color, but I've only bought a belt online.

Oooo I love the mini one 🤩 I’m adding it to my wish list ahhahhaha
Totally agree! I love my 24/24 Mini it’s my favourite mini bag 🖤

It’s just reacting to the glue! If you compare Hermes hardware to other brands it is superior. I have heard moynat is amazing too.
Hi gorgeous.. I’ve been on holiday but happy to be home and watching your videos
Aw thanks so much Mel! Welcome home!!
Would love a review on the garden party :)
Unpopular opinion, but my friend said the Himalayan Birkin looks like a bag sold at Burlington or a hair dresser and now I can’t unsee it 😂
🤣🤣🤣 it’s not my fav either but maybe if I was multi millionaire I’d get one for the collectibility aspect of it
I do agree with you on the pricing. I don’t mind it. (Just haven’t made it there yet 😂 Hopefully one day😊) Feel it is worth it either if wanting forever or just a length of time.
aw thanks Yadira! 💖 have a nice day today!
You make excellent points. Love your jacket! 😍
Thanks Krista!!!!

I think garden party is easier to use! I actually don’t put a twilly on a picotin but it won’t damage the glazing if you do
love this and your Jaket too you are so beauiful jessie

Hmmm that’s annoying!!!! Yea I hate when that happens

I haven't made it there yet but I so want a Garden Party Bag that's my Dream Bag 💖✨🌟💕
Ooo yes you will get one some day if that’s what you wish 🌅
What are your thoughts on the Toolbox 26, Jess. Thank you 😊
There are tons of rep Marc Jacobs totes, even. You really can’t assume what is more replicated than something else.
that is the case! always have to check! although the marc jacobs tote is a modern and very popular style

I think maybe one day too Julie hehe!

I think if you get a vintage bag for the right price and either restore it at Hermes or keep it in good condition it should hold or gain value
Can the garden party be repaired touch ups if get it scuffed etc I only ask it because it’s the only Bags I make with that leather but I thank you for telling me that it’s real leather
In leather it can but canvas is tricky to repair!
great video, just subbed

I have tried one before!!! It was quite heavy in Clemence but I think swift is more manageable
