    Any idea how to disable the hanging delay when using 3-finger drag option?

    • @clintbeasley
      @clintbeasley  2 года назад +1

      Excellent question. I believe you'll want to play around with the "Spring-Loading Delay" also in the Accessibility > Pointer Control settings. Shorter makes the "spring-load" feature open the destination faster.

      @@clintbeasley I was suffering from the delayed tap to click. I noticed that whenever I tap on something there's a short delay before the click is activated. Indirectly reading your above comment lead me to that spring load feature, set that to short and boom! No more delays. Thank you! Subbed!

    The real life changer is Mission Control - what you call Spaces. Makes for a very efficient work flow.

    Only problem is that I prefer to open spaces with 3 finger (not 4 fingers as shown in video) , that's not possible if I enable 3-finger drag.

    • @clintbeasley
      @clintbeasley  2 года назад

      That makes sense. Choices choices!

    Be warned. If you activate “tap to click” you may inadvertently graze the trackpad while typing especially in Microsoft Word. This will cause your cursor to move over a previously typed section causing errors. It can be a royal pain to keep having to correct what you type.

    • @clintbeasley
      @clintbeasley  2 года назад +1

      Great point! I think the Mac tries to intelligently sense the wrist as to not inadvertently make curser moves, but that doesn’t always work. Def a good thing to note! Thanks!

    Three finger drag option does not work on my M1 Mac as of July 2022. I didn't know it was possible before this video, sadly it doesn't work for me.

    • @clintbeasley
      @clintbeasley  2 года назад

      Simon - that’s strange! Is the option there and it just doesn’t work? Or does it not even show the option? What model M1 do you have?

    • @LunaticEdit
      @LunaticEdit 2 года назад +1

      M1 Mac air user. Works for me. Using Magic Trackpad or the built in one.

    • @tinujos8306

      This could be because 3 finger might have automatically changed to 4 finger if you have configured some other setting to work for 3 finger. Eg: 3 finger drag of a window. You can change the settings in trackpad preferences.

    So, I record a bunch of video on my phone and I have to get it to my MacBook. What is your go-to way of getting the files to your laptop? Airdrop? Across a cable? I need to know.

    • @clintbeasley
      @clintbeasley  2 года назад

      Yo! AirDrop is what I personally prefer. Sometimes it can bog down if doing a bunch at one time and they have to redownload from the cloud. But usually smaller chunks will do.

    Spaces actually works on Windows too !! 4fingers the same way! and you can add another virtual dekstops too! - Creepy I just realised I am using a pc laptop!

      Awesome! Glad Windows is adding some of these multi-touch gestures! They really are so useful.
