This whole album is so powerful word for word. Knowing the lyrics and knowing what they mean is 2 different things. Some songs is there belief of what death may feel like. such an amazing album
first off absolutely love this song and I want to say good job you're the first person I've seen three to four lyrics videos I've watched that actually put "and I pray for" in the lyrics good job
It’s an awesome intro, and that’s both the melodic start and the transition to the growling/screaming. The two sides play off each other so we’ll in one of my favorite songs still.
"Maybe we, why don't we sit right here for half an hour? We'll speak of what a waste I am and how we miss your beat again." "I'm taking back all the things I've said." "Keep me filled in and I swear I'll come." "We walk alone back home." "You're almost gone and I'm okay." "But never your face again, I remember your presence." "I hope to God you come down. I hope to God you feel this now." These lyrics are so powerful to me because I can relate them so much
"I swear we need to find some comfort in this run down place... I know there must be some way out of here, and all of them will be waiting there." This song is basically a reflection on what Christianity means to most people in the most blunt, obvious, and real way possible; trying to explain it to those who don't understand.
I haven't heard this in years and man it really takes me back... I remember crying with my best friend listening to this. My best friend's dad killed himself when my friend was only 10 and he was too young to really see it coming. His mom passed two years ago from cancer and since then I've had to talk him out of suicide more times than I remember.. And it was really hard for me because I was also suicidal at the time of some of them and I felt so hypocritical because I felt like I was lying telling him that he'd already been through the worst and it will get better because he needed to hear it but inside I probably needed to hear it from someone else. But this song and some of the band Scary Kids Scaring Kids really helped both me and him get through some really tough times.
Loved this song and band since I was just a wee little one. For real though Underoath and their music had such a huge impact on my life and music taste especially the album this song is on its what truly got me into actual HEAVY music not to mention the Underoath album this song is from "Define The Great Line" is a true fuckin classic. It's a legit a PERFECT album if you ask me . Not a single skipppable song on the whole damn album. For real though!!!

I think the entire song makes the entire song... glad to relive a classic I'm going to go now🙃🤣
I think it’s more like the chorus which does…

You literally just said all the point of this song that I hold on to
