I've been collecting FaB & 22LR the past year 😄. I already have a good stock of sealed MTG, but I have no choice but to crack most of the FaB I have - there are just too many sexy cards in these boxes.
About the Japanese vs English cards, funny you have that problem. Here in Latin America, lots of people play MTG in English without understanding an English word lol. You just need to learn the keywords and you're done
I agree that bright lights was probably one of their weakest sets, but I think the expansion slot actually pulled it up a good bit it's nowhere near the unplayable shit that fallen Empires was even as a kid. I think I was older than 11. I remember fallen Empires. I remember seeing the cards and not understanding why I felt so disappointed
