Michael, you commented on how hard it is to grow grass for the Tiger's . Obviously the Tigers are trampling the area preventing the grass from growing. May I suggest using interlocking stones that have large openings; you simply lay them into the soil so that they are level with the ground, and you fill the openings with soil, and seed with lawn seed, keep moist, and watch the grass grow.

Wishing you the best birthday Michael. Nice tree you got last year. I like the way you look at it. Birds will get the berries and tigers get the shade. That's a win win situation. I had a cat 14 years old. Last year he didn't make it home. Bear was a hunter big time. Very lovable. I learned long ago when he would sleep on my lap I needed a folded up blanket or pillow. When he got up from his nap and would stretch out his claws came out and I got one inch bloody scratch from it. Not his fault he was purring away when it happened. After that I kept blanket or pillow for now I'm after that. Glad to know your staying safe.
Michael, Kevin Richardson said the same thing about his lions. He said that how often he goes in to play with them depends on how much punishment he's willing to take, and it's not for everyone. I can imagine how his body feels the next day after having Meg or one of the other lions jumping on him all the time. He compared it to whiplash, so it's understandable that you don't go in there with Enzo and Diego anymore, although I'm sure Enzo misses the playtime. lol
Happy belated birthday Michael. I have a milestone birthday coming up in 2018 and what I want is a grown tiger to look at me with the affection they look at you. I only have experience with tiger cubs and I think they look at me with affection more because I am holding a bottle for them. I'd settle for getting to sleep outside next to them and watch them all night. I loved going outside at 3 am and listening to all the animals chuffing and whuffling, it was like being in a magic world.

I honestly think Diego is part Siberian! Diego’s shape, coloring, belly, markings, face fur, whiskers, are completely different than Enzo’s (who is quite possibly the most perfect/beautiful example of the majestic bengal tiger). 😻👑🐅🐅
Isn't the "blue rim" you describe their night vision filter? Not entirely sure but I think it's related to their eyes shining when you flash light at them. Reflective/refractive membrane that works kinda like how night vision goggles work. Awesome stuff.
