It interesting Captain Jim talking about the looks of his Grand Banks. I do not like the looks of a fleming from the outside which most people do, but the inside and lay out is beautiful. Remote office made me smile!

I'm restoring a 1967 GB 36 myself. Quite the adventure after 20 years of neglect and disuse. Been at it over 2 1/2 years so far.

So far I have done all of my maintenance and winterization. Has taken me 5 years to feel like I understand that boat but is well worth it. Going to remove the decks this year. Has a soft spot port side rear.

My 3rd year full time and winter is hard. Condensation really is an issue on boats in cold weather. I’ve insulated parts of the hull and that helps.

We own a GB 36 1984 hull 715. Single Lehman 135 like yours. We live in RI. I think I remember you bringing your boat back to this area. Would love to compare notes.

I have a 40 year old sailboat with a custom wood interior. It sits in the Houston sun. I run a dehumidifier, but I don't run the air conditioners, so it's dry but it gets pretty hot inside. Is this a bad idea? Should the AC be run? I really don't want to spend the money to run the AC during those long summer months...
