  • Celebrate our 75th birthday year with this rousing performance of Berlioz's Hungrian March from 'The Damnation of Faust'.
This work plays a significant part in QSO's story as it was performed in our debut concert on 26 March 1947 in Brisbane City Hall alongside Wagner’s Overture to 'Tannhaüser', Grieg's Piano Concerto, Berlioz's 'Danse des Sylphes', and Tchaikovsky’s ‘Pathetique’ Symphony No.6.
    Conducted by Peter Luff.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't this conductor usually play the French Horn?

As well as being an incredibly talented French horn player, Peter Luff is also a wonderful conductor. We're lucky to work with him!
