    love this series. please make a video about Data Vault modeling techniques. Much appreciate it.🥰

      I have not used Data Vault but from what I have read it seems unnecessarily complex. See this great video that explains this really well. ruclips.net/video/RNMoWnSWcTo/видео.html

    Thanks for the information.. this was very helpful in building dim and facts for my projects.. still I'm confused on certain fields like delinquent days, next payment date and some date related fields.. where these fits?

      Quantitative fields like delinquent days are probably facts. Dates are almost always dimensions. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

    Can you do a more practical example

      What are you thinking of?

    • @shanaebrown1563
      @shanaebrown1563 2 месяца назад

      @@BryanCafferky like getting a dataset then start creating the facts and dimensions from it using microsoft sql server.

      @@shanaebrown1563 Good idea. I was thinking of using the OLTP AdventureWorks database and creating the Dimensional Model and DW from that. There is a DW version of the AW database already but I don't think it is very good so this would be a walk through as if the DW did not exist. Make sense?

      @@BryanCafferky I think the main thing for me is that I know the concepts but after building the dimensional tables I am a bit loss on how to integrate them in the fact table using queries, so this would be really great.
