    Hi guys, my AI upscaling video just reached 42k views, so here's another cool trick, just apply this so you can easily sharpen video footage affected by camera shake, focus issues, or general softness. Made possible with a little help from AI technology. 😉

    I'm trying to turn a video that's somewhere between 240p and 480p (can't remember the resolution) to 4K somehow, but it is an older video from back in the day and I'm just wondering if I'm fighting a losing battle here. As one commenter put it.. you can clean up pixels that aren't there. If it's that old of a video, then you can't really touch it up.. that's the consensus I got from a few people online. But then how do movie studios do it? Does it depend what it's shot on?
    Any tips you can give me would be greatly appreciated

All works well, except that the final result video is 1 to 2 seconds shorter than my original video, which is a big problem. I use H.264 and 1920x1080. Most likely I have some settings wrong. How can I get the final result video at the exact same length as my original video? Please advise. Thanks.

    • @MDMZ

      double check the frame rate when importing back to premiere pro, it probably doesn't match your original clip and you just need to adjust that

    • @levacolorful
      @levacolorful 2 года назад +2

      I had the same problem and after searching on web I found the solution: go to Preferences of Media Encoder then Multimedia and change the time base to the original video frame rate value. Idk why but if you change it in export options the video you got is shorter (so the clip is faster) than the original one.

  • @weirdrocknroller
    @weirdrocknroller 3 года назад +2

    Beware, using sharpen ai on video clips with sync audio does not work. The "fixed" clips will not sync. Because this tutorial was geared to footage, and I didn't see any comments mentioning an audio issue, I bought it without trying it first. Money down the drain! I haven't yet jumped to spending $150 to try to see if Video Enhance AI will do the job. Just sayin ...

    • @MDMZ
      @MDMZ  3 года назад +1

      if you export at the original fps, and interprate the new footage to the original fps too, you can simply replace the old video with the new video in the timeline and you'll be fine

  • @Laveticus
    @Laveticus 2 года назад +1

    So I just learned that I may need some additional programs in order to get an older video with a lot of pixelation to look HD or 4K. Such as Gigapixel or Adobe AE, but it seems I have a new problem and was wondering if you could help. I followed your instructions precisely, but some reason, my video was finalized with no audio. Do you know what might have caused this? Perhaps because the video was originally in WMV format and not an MP4?

    • @MDMZ
      @MDMZ  2 года назад +1

      if you're using this or similar frame by frame upscaling methods, you'll need to restore the audio manually in an editing software after upscaling, or check the video I made about Video Enhance AI, it will automatically keep your audio in 😉

    Great video thank you ! It would be hyper interesting to compare this methode with the lastest version of Video Enhance AI. How do they compare in sharpening ? Is Video Enhance now enough to do the same job or does Sharpen AI still has an edge for sharpening different types of blurrs, provided you use this more intensive frame by frame worflow. Does VE ultimately generates less flickering than frame by frame Sharpen ai since in the latest they are not correlated ? And of course last question (not personaly for you of course), when are we going to see Denoise AI, Sharpen AI, VE AI (and why not a "8bit 4:2:0 to 12/16bits 4:4:4 Prores/RAW" AI program ) all gathered in one unique powerful video enhancement software ?
