HACK FIXES.. should you try creative solutions? Are they practical & how do you know?

If you're in any business that relies on tools and equipment on a daily basis, you'll soon come across a situation when you need your equipment going and can't get it fixed soon enough or can't get the parts.
I'm always figuring out "creative solutions" for these instances and I've gotten pretty good at it too! Today I'm going over my thought process and discussing a couple examples.

Good job, my first thought was a hose clamp. But for one day zip ties for sure.
