Sorry about the “Happy 23rd of December thing” but we had a technical difficulty with another video that ended up making this one come out later.. regardless we here at TGO hope you all are having and/or had, a great Christmas and a have a Happy New Year!! Willie
Hi Willie, I'm still abit under the weather. Those 2 are pretty neat. You have a old then the new after the sale. Great to have both in a collection. Especially if they both work. Tell the family Hi and meowe and meow. I hope all got what they ask for and had a great time. Take care and stay safe Till next time. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@skyedancer3106 Howdy Skye🤠, It’s definitely cool to have both of these reels and I’m truly looking forward to using them.. just need some good weather.. Truly hope you get the feeling better soon!! Everyone says “Hi Skye and Meow🐈 🐈⬛”
When you were pointing out the differences the first thing that came up to me was how big that crank arm was, those are beautiful examples of differences between the two reels before and after acquisitions. Some of those minor differences in engineering can make a big difference in how the reel performs, another fantastic in depth blessing on these cool old reels!
@@pnwvintageoutdoors You know it’s funny but the second version (150A) was definitely the better of the two. I’m looking forward to using these reels, so I can fish in two different times frames.. before and after the sale.. maybe it’ll take me back in time.. 😂
I really like the Johnson line of Reels Willie , I have a fair Collection of them . Thanks for the History of the Johnson Co I didn't know how it was sold . Merry CHRISTMAS to you and yours and thanks for the informative Video .
@@bobbymiller1672 Hello and Merry Christmas 🎄 I love the history as much as I love the reels.. I’ve got many of those green rascals myself and quite a few that aren’t green😂. I’m glad you enjoyed the history.. possibly a little more to come.. but to me the most interesting part is the beginning and when they sold the first time😉. Thanks again, Willie
Good information, Willie, I enjoyed the before and after sale comparison. Maybe this spring we can see just how effective the Accucast feature works! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
@@christinerogers5331 Hey CJ🤠, I’ve got a lot of reels to use this year. These two are at the top of the list for sure.. Hope you had a great Christmas and Nee Years!! Willie
Great comparison & review and thanks for the history lesson about the Johnson Company. I didn't catch it if you said which reel (i.e. 150 or 150A) you might prefer based upon you first impressions. I think the final test will just have to be "how do they fish." By the way, Happy Holidays from my family to yours.
@@harryhoward3064 Howdy Harry🤠, In my first impression the 150A was a nicer reel. Not saying that a different 150 would be better but out of the two I have, the 150A is better. It’s smoother in all respects.. But until I’ve made a cast or two and caught something, we’ll just have to see!😉 Hope you and the misses had great Christmas and new years!! 🤠 Willie
If I had really deep pockets I’d march down the road and buy the old Johnson Reels building. Then start building Century 100B reels. Would have to hire Gary Barber as chief engineer! 🎉
