    I applaud Motorola for targeting this market niche - a goal others should be targeting as well, including as much tech as they can for the PRICE!

    I've had my G7 power for a week and I absolutely love it! I purchased it from giffgaff in the UK for £139.00 including delivery by DHL. Don't worry about the display being in 720p, it still looks great to me. The phone is fast, responsive and smooth, audio is clear and loud and the battery life is just out of this world. I feel like a power god now! Hah! The only minor quibble with the phone is its camera, my previous LG G4 16MP shooter was amazing! The G7's camera is not terrible though, you can get some reasonable quality shots with it, but I'd recommend downloading the Google Pixel Camera apk file as it really helps you to get the best out of the G7's camera.

    I liked the moto e4 plus it also had the big 5000 Battery at a much cheaper price of $129 it was water proof down to 3 meters. With the one finger action giving you more screen real-estate.. Thanks for the upload 👍

    G7 for my wife will be happening soon. Thanks for the review. We live in an area where Verizon is the only option 😢 and need a decent budget phone that can work in Europe too. The G5 plus has served her well but it starting to misbehave, it won’t be long before I replace it with the G7. She hates getting new phones......

    🙇‍♂️ Hurrah for Lisa!
    One of the VERY few technology reviewers who *actually know their subject inside out* (and are over 40 years old, which, to me, is generally indicative of being a safe bet for having enough life experience to know what’s what, and to leave out the rhetorical nonsense.)
    Verifiably knowledgeable reviewers:
    ~ Lisa Gade
    ~ Leo Laporte & the TWiT posse
    ~ Jon Rettinger (was “Jon4Lakers” & “TechnoBuffalo”
    ~ iJustine
    I am sure I could find a handful more, but Lisa, your prowess stands out like a 1,000 carat opal in a pile of mud. God bless you, thanks for your superb reviews over the years. ❤️

      Erica is 30, whereas (afaik) Lisa appears to be 57; so she has a 27 year head start on Ms Griffin.

    • @7777PEACEMAKER
      @7777PEACEMAKER 5 лет назад +1

      You will love both of them I have to note nines I only use them as tablets because they're too delicate to be carrying around everyday to use as a regular phone the power with the 5000 milliamp hour battery I have the four thousand milliamp hour one I bought it from T-Mobile and they're great for just basic stuff the two out nines I have I have to worry about dropping them and all this other stuff so it's a big difference do not have to worry about all those things heck for $650 you can buy an iPad Pro 10.5 in and use that for all your serious multimedia stuff and just have that Motorola be a basic phone

    • @7777PEACEMAKER
      @7777PEACEMAKER 5 лет назад +1

    I purchased an import Moto G7 Plus on sale last week, which had supposedly a slightly better processor and camera than the normal G7, 64GB of storage and NFC (but it's GSM only). Still has the same screen size and battery as the G7. When I got it, it was only $25 more than the G7 though I think the normal price is around $380 usd. It's my first Motorola since the Photon Q and it's a really good phone! I don't ask for too much. I just want to take pictures of my sketchbook and not have to struggle with lag when loading a GPS-dependent app and this does the job. The regular G7 probably would, too, looking at this review.

  • @pdraggy
    @pdraggy 5 лет назад +1

    I like to buy yesterday's flagship used at this pricepoint. I just bought an LG G7 for 275 this morning. anyway so glad you do benchmarking on these, so many reviewers don't nowadays. I'd like to suggest the nearly 2 year old Moto X4 (SD630/ Adreno 508 less than 150 on Amazon) about the only thing this phone has over it is a bezel-less design, but it's half the price xD and that's new!

    • @pdraggy
      @pdraggy 5 лет назад +1

      oh it has nfc AND ip68... just think this is weird cuz... it's Moto... how much did they sell out for a bezel-less design??

    I recently upgraded on Tesco Mobile to a G7 Power for the sole purpose of using the NFC which on the Tesco Mobile website it clearly stated it had. Got it home and it clearly hadn't got NFC so was a completely pointless upgrade. In the end I had to take it back and get another phone with NFC. It is a shame because I have had MOTO G phones right from version 1 and would have liked to stayed with the brand.

But I can't live with 3000mah either because what nobody mentions is that after a year of use the battery has declined significantly so that NIW your screen time is really limited. Motorola's phones sold outside the US always have better features and specs. And the biggest bonus, no Trump!!

    Having a larger camera sensor (1/2"), better SoC, and cheaper, i think Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro are a better deal than these two, except that their firmware are worst compared to these.

      Oh I think the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are much better deals. Much lower prices and better all-around specs. Umidigi F1 and F1 Play are probably better if cameras aren't a problem for you. Huawei P30 Lite and Mate 20 Lite are probably better deals. Motorola are easier to find and can usually be found for deals on carriers.

      Both of those Huawei aren't even on the same price level, at that price level Mi 9 series would be a better deal. Also, with the Samsung GM1 and Sony Exmor IMX586 sensor came to the most budget phone, any phone that use those sensor would be an OP for all of the phone at the price level, since both of those are one of the largest smartphone camera sensor available, after Huawei P30, P20 and Mate 20 series (except for their Lite series).

    I don't like OLED. I'm a firm believer that the only reason the manufacturer's switched to OLED/AMOLED displays is because they can make more money when they all have burn-in.
