- Seven years after it was announced that the Golden State Warriors would return to San Francisco in a brand new state-of-the-arena, the team played its first game at Chase Center. Experience the journey to get there, as lived by Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts, Warriors players Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, and several of the construction workers that built the place.
I have to commend the ownership of the Warriors for not only having so much integrity but above all so much love for their local community.First of all they paid for this monumental structure with their own money,but also gave many local people employment opportunities that would normally have not been considered.The significance of this project may be overlooked by many and just acknowledged as the greatest Arena in basketball when in reality it is the greatest support ever given to a community by a local sports team.i can’t even find the appropriate words to express except to say that what the Golden State Warriors have achieved can only be admired by having my Support for their Team even though I am from NY and a true Laker fan.for now on I will root for their team except when playing against the Lakers in that case my position will be “may the best team win”😁

Chase Center has been growing on me a bit, but it will take a while to match the same atmosphere as Oakland (Oracle) Arena despite going 31-10 during the regular season and 11-1 in the playoffs en route to a title in 2022.
As for the G1C, the noise is not as deafening as the one at Arco Arena II/Power Balance Pavilion/Sleep Train Arena.
What an AMAZING foundation being laid! And I am SO EXCITED to see this arena own an NBA Championship trophy! #StrengthInNumbers!

I really wish and would love to see the Warriors or any other organization have/build a room specifically for the fans where the room is used to display pics or any staff that fans made for their favourite players or the organization as a whole.It will be so cool and awesome.
The scoreboard is absolutely amazing, still miss ORACLE Arena though

It's just tough to do the things they've done at Chase in a renovation. Some of the innovation needed the proper infrastructure to do, and revamping oracle just wouldn't have cut it unfortunately.

I saw The Who there a few weeks ago. From the inside it looks like any other arena. The upper bowl sections are quite steep, the ceiling is a criss cross mishmash of steel, the exterior looks like a toilet bowl, and the transportation getting to and fro is abysmal. After all the hype thrown at fans the last few years I was underwhelmed.
All new arenas look the same all this is fluff bs

I have to say that this is an amazing facility. I wish the Warriors lots of luck. However, the fact of the matter that this so called Chase Center is out of reach of the regular Warrior fan. The tickets are expensive. The food is expensive. Thus, this is NOT for the fan but for the corporation and its customers. Additionally, this is SF. Thus to the mayor WTF are you doing taking care of the homeless problem that is out of control? What is the city doing? How about affordable housing? What is SF doing? Nothing! The city REFUSES to address the major issues. Yes this is an amazing facility. However, the ordinary folk is shut out! The ordinary folk is homeless. The ordinary folk NEEDS affordable housing. Thus, the city is focusing on the 1 % versus the working class of SF. These people have to live somewhere? Living in the streets is NOT the answer! Thus, in the long haul this is NOT a smart move for the city of SF. It is pushing the homeless and the working class once again to the streets!

Built right next to a children’s and women’s cancer hospital, the traffic for events there will undoubtedly lead to deaths n psa DO NOT PARK IN HOSPITAL PARKING LOT FOR GAMES OR EVENTS. Just messed up to take up space in an already cramped parking lot that’s supposed to be being used by children who need medical help.
