New subscriber for The Sixsters! Thanks for featuring this great band, I heard two songs two months ago, and now I'm addicted. The thing to know about this band is that each song is unique, and if you didn't know better, you'd think they were a completely different band. They play in all kinds of different genres, from beautiful ballads to punk and art rock, with a couple of songs in makeup, one in fancy dresses, and so on.
I see a lot of great suggestions in the comments for other songs, and you can't go wrong with any of those.
They are refugees from the war in Ukrainian. The drummer's house, where they used to practice, was blown up.
They've been through a lot, and have risen above to create and share their art.

The ages of the girls when recording this video two years ago was Kate (13) drums, Polina (14) bass, Maya (12) Keyboards (she only spins the turntable in this video), Anna (19) lead guitar and Maria (15) vocals/guitar. They have quickly become my favourite band.
The band started in 2018 by then 9 year old Kate, she has her own YT Channel, started when she was 7 where she did drum covers. She had started playing as a guest with adult bands and wanted her own band, as there were no musical kids in her area, her dad, Alex, advertised for girls to form a band, The Sixsters were born. Originally 6 girls, aged 7 to 12, the name came from six sisters in Rock. At the start their songs were written for them. Kate's the only one remaining from this time.
Early on the vocalist changed from Victory to Kira K and an additional bass player Kira P was added as the youngest 7 year old Taya lived close to Poland and couldn't make all their gigs. The band stood as 7 members until the start of the war.
During 2021 the two current guitarists replaced the original girls, Maria replaced Alona and added a second vocalist and English language as well as guitar to the band and Anna replaced Ira. This was the band when the war started. They had a stadium tour of Ukraine lined up supporting one of Ukraine's biggest Rock bands, but then the war started. Kate's home where they had their studio was destroyed in bombing and all but Taya's families fled Ukraine.
Five months later, 5 of the 7 girls met up in Germany and resumed the band. Taya stayed in Ukraine and Kira K decided not to rejoin, so Maria took over lead vocals. Since then Kira P's and Maya's families returned to Ukraine and they were replaced by other Ukrainian refugees Polina and Sofia.
This is a great rabbit hole to go down, they change styles effortlessly. They have a small following, much smaller than they deserve, but understandable due to their age (most still in school) plus the disruption they have had in their lives.

Thanks for reacting to The Sixsters, Dean! As others have said, they employ a variety of styles/genres so check out some of their other suggested songs. And yes, they can definitely be addictive! 🤘🔥🙌

Thanks for reacting to the Sixsters. They deserve it❤ please continue to their other songs since they have many different styles to offer! Try "For us .. for me .." for example.
Some might say, that they are searching for their 'home genre' .. I would say: They provide us with a great variety of sound.

Fun fact: if you see 'Fame', on their drums, bass or guitars, that's a Polish instrument manufacturer (branch of Mayones), that sponsors the band.

Don't give up after 1 song ... I read a comment to a BAND MAID clip where the fella was suggesting different bands an songs an when he came to these guys, he said "Pick Anything". I've only heard that from BAND MAID fans so, of course, I had to have a gig.
Now I have about 26 songs on repeat of these guys. An all different genre's.
Try "Hold" - a really nice acoustic song and or "Feels" (one of their latest) and or "Fever".

I was pretty meh when I first saw The Sixsters, but now I'm 100% on board with them.
Try 'For Us, For Me', 'Feels', 'Same Kid', 'I'm Gonna Be', 'Seem To Dance', or 'Happiness'.
I thought they were a gimmick, but they're the real deal.

I have 3 bands on my daily playlist: The Warning, Freeze the Fall and The Sixsters. Take that for what it is worth but The Sixsters for sure can’t be taken in with a song or 2 (or 5). Their full Band name should be “The Sixsters: I wasn’t expecting that!”. They do whatever they want (& what’s more punk than that?) & they rock it all. ‘Feels’, ‘For us, for me’, ‘I stare at you’, ‘Hurricane in my soul’, ‘run with the wolves’ ‘Happiness’ (written when they reunited in Germany after their homes were parked on by a certain guy & his tanks)

This is just one video, one song , this one is punk , the next one is is pop, and then prog, then a goofy dance song followed by death metal. this is The sixsters, very diverse influences making up this very eclectic band . don t even try to pigeon hole them , they will break out every time

It’s more go home get the f out of our country song. Think about it. The SiXsters made in Ukraine. (When poor people are dying in bath nobody helps them) you’ll pick up more with more listening. Please please don’t use the dirty H H words lol talking about their music. It’s Rock and Roll and this is the only song they’ve done with a turntable in it. really glad you’re interested hope to hear more they have a lot to offer. Don’t know if you noticed but keys (turntable in this song) Maya is 13, drummer Katya is 14, bass Polina 15, vocals rhythm guitar Maria 16, lead guitar Anya 20. Nice reaction thanks.
