Lunin is not playing in the final NOT because of flu; he won't play because the best goalkeeper in the world is back, regardless of flu. I realized people really gave Lunin lots of passes despite poor performances. I heard no criticism for Lunin for his poor display in latest classico when two goals allowed were 100% his faults. people only remember two penalties saved, that's it. B Silva near post free kick and Sane near post almost cost RM but nobody remembers it or even mentions it. Why? because RM won. Imagine RM lost 0-1 to City aggregate and B Silva first goal was the only goal in two legs, Lunin would've been crucified. Two penalties, that's all that matters.
Sane’s goal was unsavable it was powerful. And something I’ve realized from lunin is that he always learns from his mistakes that first leg against city compared to the second leg is crazy improvement. “ poor performances” yes he’s had some eh but the Majority of the times he’s saved us MULTIPLE times and went on a record for not conceding a lot this season. Him and rudiger are a perfect combination for that defense.

I think lunin is a a great goalkeeper even at a young age too. 25 years of age and holding it down for Real Madrid and I’m a Barcelona fan. However, I got to give credit to him for a player he is in his position. When cortouis come back lunin isn’t going to get playing time again so he has to leave so he can build his experience.
Completely opposite: he's set to sign a new contract until 2029. As far as goalkeepers go, he's still young and can be the #1 GK if he's patient and improves his focus and technique.
I mean all because he signs another contract doesn’t mean if the right money comes in someone can scoop him up. As a keeper the best way to get better is game time.
