I got this working after didn’t work on current version (1.20.2) by switching my version to the snapshot so it matched up with the settings. Thanks :) got a new sub
@@emmamcgrath9122 yes, In the Minecraft launcher, Java allows you to switch versions, in order to do so you must go to installations, and make a new installation with the snapshot 17w06a and hit create. After hitting create you may go back to the play tab and hit the version drop-down box in the bottom left side of the screen and select the installation you made and hit play and it should work. I would make a copy of the world you want to do it on so your world doesn’t get corrupted. If you would like I can make a video on it.

you can make a 6 x 6 with 36 maps, in the website at step 2 select 6 horizotal and 6 vertical. And you will get 36 maps. place all your 36 maps in order to create a large image

there is some change in how data is stored in map files so this methord is not working for now. It should still work in older versions of minecraft. You can also downgrade your world to 1.20.1 and use this methord to make map and then upgrade back to 1.20.2 later and it should work, but be sure to backup the world before you downgrade

if you have access to the multiplayer world you can download the world and just follow the steps in the video then upload the world back to the server and it should work for all players
