  • Integrate Unifi Protect Into Home Assistant with a few clicks of a button and have your UniFi Protect cameras ready to be used in home assistant. If you are using UniFi protect as your surveillance system and Home Assistant as your home automation system, there absolutely no reason why not to integrate the two.
In General, The UniFi Protect integration adds support for retrieving camera feeds and sensor data from a UniFi Protect application by Ubiquiti Networks, inc. that is running on a UniFi OS Console. When you Integrate Unifi Protect Into Home Assistant you get access to your camera feeds right inside Home Assistant.
There are a few other benefits when you Integrate Unifi Protect Into Home Assistant for example, the UniFi console stats like for example the percentage of free space left on your hard drive. you can then create an automation to notify you when the hard disk is over 80% full.
If you are already using Home Assistant and in the market for a camera surveillance system, you can be rest assured that the UniFi protect system integrates superbly with Home Assistant and all is local, no need for any cloud accounts.

Before I delve deep into HA, can you do more videos regarding the automations for Protect? I've also read about using Node Red or importing Blueprints from the community.
